edited September 2012 in The Walking Dead
Ok so now we know the game format, assuming it remains the same, who's signing up for another season?

    Hey why not :D

I thought this would be a thread speculating about who lives through season 1 and comes back on season 2, heh :D

If the quality remains the same, you can definitely count me in.

awesome, next season wont have as much confusion about the game and it's expectations - hell it might even get better!

Probably not the best choice of words. Especially considering:

    1) EU PSN suffering a delay on Ep2 compared to other formats.
    2) TTG's lack of communication regarding said delay.
    3) TTG communicating that this delay won't happen again.
    4) EU PSN again suffering a delay on Ep 3.
    5) Other countries not even getting the game on XBOX 360/PS3 because the game was never submitted in the first place.

That is enough for me to consider not buying a season 2.

In the end I had to purchase for iPad. Don't get me wrong, I have thoroughly enjoyed the game, even my fiance who doesn't game was glued to the screen as I was playing it.

But TTG needs to listen to community complaints and learn from them before I'll consider a season 2.

I think it could only get better once they get even more comfortable in the fandom.

Depends how good the Second season is.

Who knows, a lot can change between Season 1 and 2.
  • edited September 2012
I think TTG has learned a lot along the way and I'm confident that season 2 will be even better than season 1.

You have a point but I hope for season 2 they stick more to their word. Your word is all you have an that is so true. Plus they have to remember somebody like compo is reading these threads just like us and taking in the weak points of this game and shall make sure there product is even better. Dont be shocked to see a game come out just like this one but with less issues and better game play!!!!

I for one don't hate the game. It's one of the best games I have played in a very long time, when I was finally able to play it. TTG just need to be more communicative with issues and not ignore legitimate complaints. No matter how 'ranty' they are.

If they do that for season 2, I'm in. And realistically that's all season 2 needs.

Definite buy one of the best games for me in the last years.

I like the episodic format cause it gives us something to babble about until the next Ep

    Sign me up?

Hell, take my money right now....
  • edited September 2012
Assuming that Lee and Clem return, I'd buy it. Those characters just seem too appealing.
  • edited September 2012
Hell, I'm not going anywhere. More Sam and Max!
  • edited September 2012
Only buying it when it comes out in a disc. I'm not waiting 2 plus months again to see what happens after every episode.
  • edited September 2012
    Yes.
    More Sam and Max!

    That too, please.

If season 2 is nothing but a good story that I have no say in with that same clunky point and click interface/controls when your fighting- then hell no.

If however S2 delivers a good story AND gives me choices that actually matter and change the story like they promised in the advertising for season 1- sure.

Either way, this time I'm sticking to my guns and waiting for all the episodes of the season to be released AND checking the board and elsewhere to see if TTG actually delivered as advertised or lied through PR again.

    Defo
This game is completely different to other games I have played(apart from the ZA side). This game has opened my eyes to a different genre and I'm glad. Oh and plus if the ending like a cliff-hanger (which I doubt) I'd want to find out more:D

As I've said before we're only in episode 3 how'd you know your choices won't matter in episode 4 or 5?

I am coming back for season 2 should be a good game too :D
  • edited September 2012
Sure why not, the story is enriching and I fall in love with characters I've never met before hand; if they recreate that feeling then I don't see why not.

I'm hoping they've learned from the delays though. Hopefully they'll have two episodes completed before releasing the first. That way they can be more comfortable in meeting deadlines. I can't say I'm familiar with their inner workings, but I can't see how it would hurt.

    /fingers crossed
With what they've learned from S1, the feedback; productions times; etc Im hoping S2 should run a bit more like clock work

I may wait untill season II is completed or at least halfway:D

Being this is my first Tell Tale game I have played I really enjoy it! Sure waiting for each episode is hard to do but imo when they do release an episode it is glitch free and I want them to do it right the first time. So yes I will buy another, this is one of the few games that I have cared a lot about the characters and having some kind of connection with them. Only thing I hope is perhaps a little more shooting like maybe in 3rd or 1st person mode and the ability to explore a bit but hey the story is what matters!

Here are some things I want to see in Season 2:

The group encounters the prison, where they discover the half-eaten corpse of the Governor and discover the fate of Lilly and the other Woodbury survivors.

They meet Morgan and Duane Jones, before Duane is turned into a zombie. Duane becomes friends with Clementine, but she is heartbroken when he dies and reanimates.

The group finds the Atlanta survivor’s campsite from Volume 1: Days Gone Bye. They find Amy’s corpse, Shane’s grave, and maybe a reanimated Jim.

Thats the biggest problem people are having with canon (Sean/Lily) characters; they cant interfere with the canon and its pissing them off; claim they cant do anything about anything. You and me, knowing the comics would appreciate it; non readers- not so much :)

Wait...so there's a possibility that Lee and Clementine will be in season 2? I want to give Telltale a big hug.

I was hoping for this but it is not surprising at all. Means they are not going the easy route and killing everyone off so Season 2 can be about new characters. Which means it might not just be Lee and Clem (Might just be Lee we don't know) but others from Season 1 like Kenny might come back too.

I will, regardless of what characters are in.

Even though I'd like a fresh story.
