Which group do think going is going through the worst?

edited September 2012 in The Walking Dead
I feel a lot of emotions for both Rick and Lee. Both lose people they care about, meeting psychos, protecting the survivors and making tough choices. But what you think is going through the most?

Its hard to gauge this question as Rick's group has been portrayed for 18-24 months or so in the comic book, where as we've only seen Lee's group for about 3-4 months.

    Rick's group by far.

Rick has had to deal with
    Walkers
    Cannibals
Rick's best friend turning on him
    The freaking governor!
This new group led by Negan
Carl losing 1/3 of his head
    bandits
    phsycos
    etc...

Lee has only had to deal with
    Cannibals
    Walkers
    one group of bandits
    Lilly going nuts

Not much really on Lee's side.

One thing to keep in mind:
Rick's group has been at it for much longer. TV show "may be" a little closer, but the comic has been going on for at least a year - story time wise.

Both groups are full of idiots. Its like somehow the most dysfunctional collection of people were the only survivors and we are stuck playing a game/watching a show about them.

Hmm.. I voted for Rick's but I actually think it's Lee's. In a shorter time, Lee's group has gone through much more turmoil than Rick's did at this time.

Three months in, Rick's group was still in their small camp outside of Atlanta. They didn't actually leave the camp until it was snowing out, after Shane lost his mind.

If you are just comparing how far along into the apocalypse the groups have been at the end of Episode 3, Lee's group has had it much rougher. Rick's has gone through much more, obviously, but that is only because it's been well over a year, if not almost two years in the comic storyline.

I'd say that comic book Rick's group has been suffering much more than Lee's group. Come back when season 2 of the game is finished. By then, Lee probably will had suffered a lot.

Um, Do you mean Rick as in TV Wise or Comic Wise?
I choose Lee thinking it was the tv Series Wise...
Oh and To add to gman's post,
Lee had to suffer additional things: a kid dying, A mother shooting herself, A family wrecked, He needs to take care of a kid, A mysterious guy who (probably) Wants to hurt them, Betrayal, Several people turning, Nearly killing the group, Then Lee has to choose who lives and dies, As in episode 3 when the girl was in trouble, you have to choose.

Shawn and duck, Carley and doug and onward.
Lee suffered much more in a short time, TV SERIES Rick = An extremely small herd of zombies, An attack on hershels farm.
That's all the fatal things TV Rick had to suffer.
Though Comic Rick still can't even think of What Lee's group went through to survive and all the loses in such a short time.

Edit: Irene's death, Hershel's life ruined, He then needs to deal with A POSSIBLY Pregnant lady, Christa. And onward.

I would still say Rick because he has had a lot more happen to him. Not over such a small time but still a lot more that has affected him. Plus watching his son get shot in the head and lose an eye and part of his head has got to be bad for him as well as getting hand cut off by The Governor. On top of that Rick has seen his son Carl get shot multiple times since Carl has been shot the most times in the comics.

Plus the TV show Rick stabbed Shane without much hesitation. The comic Rick just cried through the whole sequence until Carl saved him. TV Rick has it too easy. "Oh, I kill my friend now? You didn't even have to ask. Zombies? I'm not worried."

Everybody would eventually get dysfunctional in a ZA.

Realistically I have a really hard time believing that anything short of an airborne or otherwise unavoidable zombie contagion could effectively wipe out humanity.

    Gotta love optimism.

    I'm voting for Lee's.

Each episode is essentially 1 comic issue, right?

    Lots of grief each episode.

It's kind of hard to compare it that way. I would say it's more close to 1 Episode = 1 Volume than 1 Episode = 1 Issue.

Hmm, then I guess they'd be about equal then.

I think Lee's group has been through worse in a shorter space of time, but Ricks group has worse stuff ahead of them.

I don't care for reality much, but it's the only place to get a decent meal.

I would say lee's, the show so far, they's had s****a turn so we know how hard that is to take, and they'v lost alot of people, havn't had many dealings with bandits, with lee's group having some cooked mark meat on the table and having the group gone. Ricks still got a few ppl, theres 3 of us from the original group

The only people Rick has from the original group in Atlanta is himself, Carl, Andrea and Sophia.

And they've been surviving for a longer amount of time...

At first I was going to say Rick as well, but I entirely agree with this.

Overall, comic series Rick is ahead by a long-shot... but when you compare the time-span like this, Lee has had more shit by this point.
