One thing I dont like in "Choices matter" games.

Is being forced into something.

I'm already over Carley and Dougs death (2 playthroughs), whatever. Seems kind of Silly that TTG forces them to die, no matter what you do.

How it should have been done imo:

A) If you sided with Lilly enough in Episode 1/2, then in 3 you get the option to calm her down so that nobody dies. She ends up stealing the RV when you get to the train anyway, but nobody dies. (Since the game ties in with the comic, she has to go to Woodbury.)

B) You get the option to blame Ben. Ben panics and admits to being guilty, then Lilly shoots him out of anger.

C) You can blame Carley/Doug. Same thing happens that happens in the game, blahblahblah. (At least there, it is a CHOICE to have them die)

D) If you sided with Kenny enough in Episode 1/2, he comes around with his gun and holds Lilly at gunpoint while everyone gets in the RV. Plays out just like if you left Lilly behind after she shot D/C in the normal game.

So what do you prefer, having four options at that scene or being forced into someone dying?

This isnt a thread about bringing Carley/Doug back, so keep that BS out of here.

Okay, here's my point of view.

    A) I did try to calm her down, but she was already on the verge of snapping, and the fact that someone had 'betrayed' the group was really important to her, so of course that didn't work.

    B) Well, you can blame Ben. But that doesn't affect the outcome, because Doug will still pull Ben and take the bullet, and Carley will still insult Lilly in a way that makes her snap thinking Carley did it so she just shoots her in the face.

    C) Well, that would be different and could be a nice change. But it seems Lilly doesn't really care about what you say. If you're on a Doug playthrough, she'll still think Ben did it no matter what you say, and if you're on a Carley playthrough, she'll still think Carley did it in the end.

    D) I didn't really understand it, do you mean after she shot Doug/Carley? Well, if you still got the option to let Lilly into the RV as well, that could also be a nice change to the scene.

But well, it already happened. Still, maybe TTG will try to do more stuff like you mentioned on C) and D) when season 2 comes, that would be pretty cool.

My ideas are what I think should've happened in place of what we got.

As for D, it would happen before she shot them. Everyone would be arguing, cue angry Lilly dialogue line, Kenny finally decides he's had enough of her, and comes around with his gun out. Everyone gets in the RV and they drive away, while Lilly runs away from a walker chasing her.

I think TTG didn't have the time or funding, imagine how much work they'd have to put in say from the start. As in, 4 choices first episode, twice as many in ep.2, double that for ep.3 = Crazy amounts
