So why is it that the living dead have such a hunger for living flesh? As seen in Robert Kirkman's comics and on The Walking Dead TV show on AMC, the dead will not feast on flesh that is not living. The few reasons why the dead don't finish their meal is because the flesh is not "Fresh" enough and go to find new prey.

They will live with or without food, so why all the anger walkers? What do you all think?

It's probably derives from a need to generate more zombies, similar to a virus replicating, zombies eat to kill and spawn more. That may also explain why they stop eating if the kill isn't fresh, otherwise there wouldn't be enough left to reanimate.

yeah, i have seen a virus (or whatever the technical term is) in a documentary that takes control of an ant and then makes it climb higher than it naturally would up branches then clamp itself onto the branch and die only for it to grow something out of its head and that spawns more of the virus to infect more ants.

also i have seen one that infects caterpillar and makes it go to a leaf on an exposed branch and wave its head around to attract birds to eat it so that it can be spread by the birds excrement and infect more caterpillars.

    nature is freaky

I've also read ants doing the same as caterpillars. Going to an edge of a grass blade and being eaten by a cow, so that they can spread the infection to slugs that will eat the cows poo.

    Yummy.

You know that takes a lot of "planning" and "awareness" more than what it seems a "virus" would be unable to grasp. Or maybe it is instinct.

A similar thing would be the Ant Fungus which 'infects' the Ant and makes it go to specific locations which are just right for it then it flourishes killing the Ant.

Maybe they're really vampires and just want fresh blood....

Vampire theory is illogical. Walkers do not sparkle.
