Origin of the virus

edited September 2012 in The Walking Dead
I was thinking a lot about the origin of the virus. Could it been use as a biological weapon or could it been an experiment gone deadly wrong? Will we learn the origin in the game or we'll continue to come up more theories?

this is in a thread called "The cause of the zombie apocalypse?" but in game would be the last place we would find out the origin of the virus

I highly doubt it since Robert Kirkman even said that he wouldn't put how the virus originated in the comics even though he kind of has the idea of how in his world

The origin of the virus is Robert Kirkman. He created The Walking Dead, meaning that he also created the virus. Mystery solved.

    This is funny.

    The virus is in everyone.

The cause is related to the world apocalypse. Yep you got it this is divine punishment.

I'm not religious, in a fictional story anything is possible, even gods.

Thats terrible, why wouldnt you include that? Actually its probably so he can long out the stories to make more cash....

Because the science of it all detracts from a contained personal story about regular people. Plus any explanation would be bullshit.

    Something supernatural!

As far as I can tell, TWD has now been a fairly long running franchise with no hint of any survivors getting close to the source. They only wish to represent the reality of the zombie apocalypse. Whilst it's a drama, instead of throwing in overblown occurences like Resident Evil, it draws attention to the fact the survivors are "average".

Like in Left 4 Dead, you're just surviving. For something that's spread nationally, probably internationally, there's a very low chance that the survivors are going to bump into the source without a guidline. But what are the odds of finding one of those?
