World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide

edited September 2012 in The Walking Dead
I read WWZ based on some suggestions in here and, well, the Survival Guide is written by the same guy so I started reading that too.
One is a really good fiction novel; the other will make you want to hit up the local gun store and start your ZA stockpile right now!
Anyone read these yet?

I read the zombie survival guide. I disagree with about half of what it says. It's cool though.

I own WWZ and gave a couple copies as gifts and recommended it to EVERYONE when I first read it. In fact, it's one of these odd books I've re-read when I'm out of new material. I've looked at the Survival Guide, but it's too reference book'ish for my taste.

ya WWZ is my favorite of the 2 and the Survival Guide is more like cramming for a test; but the way he presents the facts on zombies tests in such a 'matter of fact' way it's like the studies have been on-going for decades

btw there is a WWZ movie coming out in 2013, Brad Pitt is playing the lead role
no trailers yet but Im hoping it's good, the stories in the novel were really detailed

The IMDb synopsis says "A U.N. employee is racing against time and fate, as he travels the world trying to stop the outbreak of a deadly Zombie pandemic."

So...doesn't seem like it's sticking to the book. :(

If they did a movie that sticks to the book, it would be a boring documentary of interviews. They had to change it for it to work as a blockbuster movie. Both books were okay, the guide very dry reading, more like a school book than a novel to read and enjoy.
