I think a ZA if it was in the WD universe would be easy to become a Zombie... think of all the idoit Drivers out there that you say to yourself... those people are gonna kill someone... add to it, the differnt rules of the roads for each country, I think Canada uses the oposite side of the road... cancer deaths, still births that kill the mom, suicide. wars..even age... Japan is doomed.... yep, its pretty easy to become a zombie.

If it doesn't start in Japan and they close off the borders they'd survive, though.
I think you underestimate the human race's ability to draw up "us vs them" lines and focus on said them.
Yes because humans have always made intelligent decisions in the interest of the world as a whole. Im pretty sure the world (America being the first) would think fuck it and nuke everyone to save the scientists/doctors/politicians/rich people that can afford sanctuary, it would solve the zombie problem and the over population problem, 2 birds 1 stone.
First of all, the army isn't stupid and they aren't weak, secondly the army can't be easily overrun by people who are undead lol, they will fuck the fuck out of the state which was infected lol, shot out everywhere and such, humans are NEVER to be underestimated.

I wasn't even reading this thread, morality is genetic? Who knew?!
Canada for the most part has diverse geography and extreme temperatures, which make it a ZA survivor's paradise, if you know what you're doing. All those fleeing the States thinking they're going to survive in Canada are going to freeze to death their first winter. We might not have guns in every household, like y'all, but guns draw walkers. So you guys just go ahead and make bunch of noise, blow yourselves up, whatever.
You really think the human race can only make bad decisions? Why don't you read up on alittle bit of small history behind all of the big-events? there could have been a massive nuclear war in the Cold War, except for a certain Stanislav Petrov who, despite his nuclear alarm system telling him of a nuclear attack from the U.S, you know how that ended? it was a malfunction and he didn't tell his superior, if he had told his superiors the U.S.A would have probably got nearly all of the Soviet Unions nuclear arsenals launched at it, for no Apparant reason, and if you notice, when the soviet union was collapsing, it didn't launch billions of nuclear bombs across the planet at its enemies, either. Further proof that humanity doesn't always make bad decisions, stop being such a pessimist, Man, If Humanity made purely bad decisions you wouldn't be alive right now.
Whatever. Considering the general knowledge of the average American about Canada, your opinion doesn't concern me in the least.
 Loving Canada myself that kind of Offended me Cyreen but I won't hold it against you because that is how I am.
theoretically if you were to apply all the Canadian regulations, arms laws and temperatures onto a U.S, State, I do not think it would be the first to fall, but any state that gets infected first would technically be the first to fall anyway. and by the way Cyreen, the Majority of the U.S. like Canada by the way, otherwise our nations wouldn't be such good neighbors, and the Gallup poll also showed the exact same point, when the majority of Americans chose Canada as their favorite foreign nation, what I am saying is just because some people you've met or talked to are unknowledgable don't assume the "average American" doesn't know anything, I mean afterall you should push yourself to learn about things you like, shouldn't you? Don't hold a couple for a entire nations population, its very judgmental and breeds racism, which in my opinion the world would be a hundred times better without.

You obviously don't know much about the united states of America to think something as ridiculous and insulting as that.
The politics of the US may do alot of stuff it shouldn't, like sending help to rebels when our economy is failing, but the military and government aren't stupid, and the first nuke that's sent off, zombie apocalypse or not, will get America or any other country who fires first leveled pretty hard, to the point that any populated areas that were hit aren't even habitable anymore. and besides you know the atmosphere would get so contaminated by too many nukes that a "Sanctuary" wouldn't cut it anymore right? Honestly I can say with certainty, with the current leadership what you mentioned would be the last thing America would want to do, The USA just doesn't do things like that. any scientist/diplomat could tell the leader of the country that what they are about to do would cause a armagedon. in a armagedon all plant life would go extinct, in plus to the masses of death from the bombs themselves, there would be no way for anyone to survive in secret anymore unless they had one hell of a bomb shelter way waaaaaaaaay underground, which by the way noone important would really be in at the start of a zombie apocalypse, in other words no it is infeasible and illogical to assume a nuclear fallout would happen as soon as the zombie apocalypse began, the only people who set off/shoot nuclear missiles indescriminately are terrorists, and I am no patriot when I'm telling you this. the soviet union even refused to do that while they were collapsing!
 Loving Canada myself that kind of Offended me Cyreen but I won't hold it against you because that is how I am ....its very judgmental and breeds racism, which in my opinion the world would be a hundred times better without.
I have nothing against the individual American and have many friends down there. If you want to paint yourself as average, that's your choice. If you know what a block heater is, good for you! However, I'm a little insulted that my entire country is being treated as a "State" in this thread, so we're even.
I'm not going to single anyone out, but I will say that their are a couple people here as forum regulars I would proably either distance myself from or just shoot!
Some are just too set in their ways to try to cooperate or listen to reason. Some are so opposed to other idea's, I think it would create a violent situation. Just taking into account all I've seen on these forums.. As a group, TWD forum people would fail! IMO!
Agreed, we'd all be dead/walkers within the first few days. You must admit though, it'd be a hell of a way to finally end some of these forum debates.
I'd say that it would be Illinois, New York, or California first. They have really big cities there. I hope it's not Illinois, because once Chicago falls the herds will probably head toward Iowa... which really sucks for me and the way I won't be prepared.
You really think the human race can only make bad decisions?
Are you even reading this thread? I don't think humans are all good or all bad. I just think we have a fringe percentage of extremists who make bad decisions. What is it with this thread making people fight so much?
well, one thing for certain is I was right about TWD forum people woulnt survive a ZA. We can't even get along long enough for an intended joke thread.
was meant for people to have a lil poke at your own or other states, but instead, the US is now at war with Canada? HTF that happen??
TTG staff.....HURRY with EP4.. we need a distraction.. the forum people are acting as if locked in a meatlocker and the salt-lick's are flyin'!
I personally think that it depends on the time of year, for instance: If it were in the warm months, I think the northeastern states (especially in the New England area) would fall first due to the smaller states and packed citizenry.
States like California are huge and have tons of open areas in the north and isolated cities in the Mojave desert so I don't think Cali would fall first except for the big coastal deathtrap cities.
Best states in my opinion to survive are also those in the north...wait for the winters to come and then go "zomb-icicle" hunting!! As long as you know how to survive a winter in the northern climes, if not don't do it.
California. And with any luck a massive earthquake will hit around the same time and contain it to that state as it drifts off into the sea never to be heard from or seen again.
But otherwise I would think New York State. Just by way of New York City.
I live in Oregon and I dont think this state would fall too quickly though Eugene and Portland would be over-run quickly. There are a lot of mountains and secluded area's people could goto, build up defences and live off the land.
Other states like Wyoming, Utah, Nevada have capitol cities of course, but also have hundreds of miles of wide open space.. where people could see any threat coming for miles, live off the land, hunting, fishing, farming.
I think the more populated states would go fast.. Wash DC, NY, California would all fall fast!
There are so many bomb shelters and secured buildings here that certain folks would do very well.
Yea, many would survive in secure locations for a good while. But eventually food, water supplies would run out. And consider the infrastructure break-down.
Eventually fuels would be exhausted, Nuke Plant's containment would fail, the entire worlds power and communications would be gone. Nature would re-claim the Earth. Think of an earthquake, the damage and fires it would cause and no one around to put them out. Fires would spread out of control.
Then consider all the other natural disasters, then consider things like deep sea oil rigs with no one to maintain them.. The ecological disasters. The impact ALL of these things would have on the planet and the survivors living on it.
Definately not Iowa. We're a pretty rural state, with a few larger cities but nothing on the scale of Chicago or San Franciso. Thankfully, my town's population has been dropping, so I'll have to wade through less zombies to get to the farm I plan to hold out in.
If you think logically, the states with the most strict gun-laws would be the first to fall. CA and NY (only allowed 10 round mag capacity) as an example. Both of those two are also highly density populated.
Small and more or less isolated populations would survive the longest and as in the game, one of the biggest problems wouldn't be the dead but the living. The dead you know where you have, one agenda aka eat people. Living people can have various agendas and they may be in conflict to you etc.

Wisconson. Texas has a lot of fat people, too, but they also have a lot of guns.
If it doesn't start in Japan and they close off the borders they'd survive, though.

And make the world uninhabitable.
Game over.
Abort, retry, fail?
Who ever said that mankind made good decisions?
I would love that, then we don't have to worry about the Yankees always win the AL East in baseball
Umm... contrary to what some may think down there, Canada is not a state. We'll lend you a cup of sugar if you need it, but otherwise go home.
WTF?!

Just need some Powered Armor and a war with China....
