The National Football League Thread

edited September 2012 in General Chat
This is a thread about American Football [pro (NFL) and/or college(NCAA)]. An actual non-bot thread about it.

What are your favorite teams? Why? Do you do Fantasy Football? Do you play Madden? What do you think about the referee-union strike? etc.

I have NFL Rewind, and saw the Green Bay game against Seattle.

I have to say, that last play call was just ridiculously lousy. GB should have won, and that ref knows it.

I'm glad the official, union referees are back. Still, that doesn't help Green Bay.

It was the biggest miscall I've seen in a while and it rightfully restored the real refs.

Does anyone happen to know where I could find downloads of Thursday Night Football? Could have sworn there was a thread earlier...

They have the worst games on Thursday.

I like that one sports team that is better than that other sports team because that team sucks.

That's just competitiveness talking. Or children who are parroting what they hear.

I'm an OU Sooner fan, so I'd totally agree that the Texas Longhorns suck. It's a rivalry thing.

However, my saying that the Dallas Cowboys suck doesn't have to do with competition. It has to do with how Jerry Jones, the owner of the team, basically wants to have direct control over the team, so keeps telling the head coach what to do and will fire said coach (even a winning coach) if he mans up and tells the owner where to stick it (which is what happened to Jimmy Johnson).

Still, this is what it sounds like to non-sportsfans:

Sport and physical perfection is one of two of the highest endeavours and I highly approve.

That said, go Patriots. You know why? Because they always keep a knee to the throat and demonstrate excellence year in and year out.

I'm pretty sure that would be a penalty.

Sure, it has nothing to do with the spygate scandal or eavesdropping on signals/conversations.
