Did [spoiler] In Your Game?

When a Walker was attacking Molly and you had to shoot the Walker I accidentally shot Molly (Whoops, my bad :3) So...if you DIDN'T shoot Molly by accident, what happens? In my game she died, did she die in any other peoples games? I'm curious.

I beat her in the fight, and Clementine saved her.

I missed the shot but Clem did a fine job.

Hey asshole, thanks for the spoilers. Save the spoiler text for inside your post. Not where casual onlookers trying to fix the save issues can see it. Jesus christ man

Well this IS THE SPOILER FORUM...so what were you doing here in the first place?

I never fired b/c I couldn't see a good shot. Clem killed saved the day. Bagged her first walker!

She stuck with me back to the house and then took off solo before Clem went missing. She decided she worked better on her own. Lee hugged her goodbye.

Good thing I had Clem with me though, because she took the shot that saved Molly before I got the chance to. I think I'd have missed if it was down to my skill alone!

How about you save the verbal abuse to someone you can stand up to IN PERSON. Instead, how about you read the GREAAAAAAAAAAAT big forum name. Right there in bold. What does it say? Here's a hint: It rhymes with Spoilers. Unless, you can't read. If so, GTFO.

I wish I brought Clem with me to Crawford, I just thought it was too dangerous for her and I didn't want anything to happen so I told her to stay.

I wasn't aware that she could die.

She died on my second playthrough (Clementine left back at house) when I didn't hit the zombie she was fighting with.

That's what Replays are for. :P Thanks to you, we know that we can add Molly to the list of potential fatalities. ;)

When I accidentally shot her she stumbled and the Walkers jumped her, I didn't bring Clementine with me so she asked where Molly went and I told her she didn't make it. :/

Left Clem with Omid and gave her a gun to defend herself with. She actually bagged her first kill back at the house during our run to Crawford, and saved Omid's life. I managed to make the shot and save Molly, didn't even know she could die. Aparently she can live, get shot in the head, or get shot in the arm and taken by walkers. Nice diverse set of outcomes there, I just wish she'd stayed with us instead of leaving after we returned. She'll probably be ok though.

That doesn't change the fact that I'm trying to figure out what the hell is going on with my game by any means I can think of

In my file , I beat her at the newsstand and Clem saved her. I didn't know she could die. She hugged Lee and left. So sad. She was like the Michonne of the game.

Same here. If I had fired I more than likely would have hit Molly. Then I would have felt bad. Beat her up and shoot her all in the same day. Good thing Clem was there.

Believe me, I thought I was gonna cap Molly too. But does Omid die if you take Clem with you? A walker gets into the house, and she only stopped it because I gave her a gun.

Nope. I took Clem on mine, he's alive and well!

I tried to shoot the zombie but I don't think I shot anything, and Clem did the job for me. Had no idea that Molly could die. Poor Molly. She left in the end, though, but at least she's alive and hopefully well for a long time.

I'm actually kind of disappointed that Omid will still live, because I thought I saved him by telling Clem to stay with the gun. At least she didn't see all the stuff that happened at Crawford. How does she react if she sees you drop Ben, by the way.

She actually does not see Ben fall. Omid asks where Ben is and Kenny says that Lee did what was necessary. As always, Clem is in the room. More explaining later on with Lee and Clem but she did not see Ben die at least.

You get the same scene with Kenny saying it in the room if you left Clem at the house. Seriously, I think Kenny's an ok guy and all, but he needs to learn to shut the fuck up sometimes.

I'm actually pretty sure I shot her in the head as she and the zombie were moving back and forth, but the game seemed to disagree with me yet again -- the first time being when I did click Molly's hand just before the invisible timer ran out when she was holding the Spike Remover, but she still hit me in the face anyway.
But somehow, I actually managed to shoot the zombie and save her. Confronted her about the tape, and she gave Lee a goodbye hug in the end. Heart-warming :)

Is there even a way to actually shoot the Zombie attacking her or is it always up to Clem?
  • edited October 2012
I shot the one attacking her, but I didn't bring Clem with me. Maybe that's how it's determined?

You can shoot the zombie on your own. But he is pretty hard to hit. I failed a couple of times.

I randomly shot and it hit the walker LOL

I was gonna shoot the walker that grabbed Molly but was surprised when Clem nailed it. Nice to see all that target practice paying off.

She lived, and complimented me on my shooting.

Me either, that's hilarious. Lee having a real Lilly-esque friendly-fire moment there. :D

It was a pretty tight shot. I tried to land a body shot on the zombie first to separate them a bit, but only head-shots count. 'Guess I was lucky I didn't accidentally put a bullet down Molly's ear. :D

I lost Molly in my "real" playthrough - the first one I do, where I stick with whatever happens - because I completely suck at the iron sights sections - I died a ridiculous number of times trying to get into the nurses' station. At least my incompetence makes Chuck's sacrifice necessary.

Did you know that it's entirely possible to kill every single walker attacking Clem at the start? For each shot I managed to kill one, except for the last one that TT makes invincible to make Chuck's sacrifice neccessary. And even then I had a second or two where, if he had been just like the other walkers, I could've shot him and Clem, and probably Chuck, would have been saved. It just seems to unesseccary for Chuck to die.

I tried to shoot the zombie, but I wouldn't get a clear shot. I would've shot Molly, but Clem killed the zombie.

I made the shot, and saved Molly. I also didn't know she could die! Telltale seem to be branching out a little more now that we're coming to the end of the seasons. It's good to see!

just finished my do nothing Lee playthrough, so i discovered another thing that can happen!

If you dont bring Clem with you (she stays if youre silent : p) and you dont shoot the walker or Molly, Molly will just keep fighting, Lee will then automatically start shooting walkers until hes out of ammo and Molly gets cut off from you and you dont get to see what happens to her

so in total it seems theres:
    1. Shoot the walker, she lives
    2. Miss the walker, Clem shoots it, she lives
    3. Leave Clem at the house, miss the walker, miss Molly, she escapes... possibly.
    4. Leave Clem at the house, shoot Molly, she dies.

There's a fifth possibility. If you don't shoot at ALL (which happened to me simply cause I was waiting for a clearer shot) and brought Clem, she kills the zombie for you. Lee just looks at his gun like "The hell? I KNOW I didn't shoot..." and then you see Clementine standing there with hers like a pro.
