Clementine as the protagonist in season 2??

edited October 2012 in The Walking Dead
Well this is just a thought, but maybe this season will end out with Clementine killing Lee, cause Lee otherwise would turn into a Walker, the last dialogue would be Clem and Lee, were Lee is laying on the ground about to turn. He will have the chose of shooting him self, or otherwise make Clem do it. Clem is holding the gun and no matter what you select to say, Clem will shot you.

And then you will follow Clementine in season 2 were charters as Lilly could show up.
The season 2 could be 10 years after Season 1, when Clem has tuned 18... (Not because she have to be 18, just think there a bigger chance for that TT would do it that way, "If they do")
In the Season Clem has grown up tough as molly. (Molly tells you that Clem reminds her about herself, when she's about to leave.)
(only if you says "it's probably for the best")

What do you guys think?

I didnt think TT could make Clem that old, from my understanding the comic series has only shown the world 2 years from the time in the game. Kirkman hasnt established what the world will be like in 10 years so it would have to be a lot of guessing and TT wants to stay close with the comic.

I think we're going to follow a new set of characters. If there is a season 3, same thing.

This game is considered canon, running in parallel to the comics. Also stated in Talking Dead, they addressed season 2 briefly where a question was asked about going years in the future and they said it was very unlikely due to there is nothing established in Kirkman's universe that this is taking place in for the future, and isnt a plausable scenario as it wouldnt be "The walking dead" anymore as theyre creating future scenarios that would have to be true across both mediums ( and only kirkman does that)

Also id like to weigh in saying playing as a child character would be incredibly boring and take away from an adult experience in the game, youd spend 3/4 of the game people talking to you like your stupid and withholding adult oriented conversations.

In 28 Days Later the soldiers keep a chained Zombie just to see how long he can survive.

I thought this was a smart move. Zombies have no future. Eventhough they are dead, they will have to die again without food. It's hard to imagine that in 10 years they will still walk around.

Also in 10 years of a Zombie Apocalypse you will either have something like The Road (the very last days of humanity) or the last Mad Max Thunderdome film (a new society starting to emerge). I don't want to play Mad Max3 with zombies.

They was not zombies in that movie lol they was human beings infected with crazy gas serum. I think they stated that the BIO virus made them over heat so they would die from there body tempature riseing and also not eating.

Something we see just to rarely in games and movies in my opinion. Screw that thing about keeping loved ones for hope, keep one zombie to see how long it lasts.

If it survives awfully long then conduct experiments, does it survive with only it's head intact, can it deteriorate, can it starve? Thinking of Dawn of the dead where there is a living zombie head in... a bait box I belive it was

    Death by body temperature?
I remember them starving since they return to London in 28 weeks later. I might just look at them again, two quite good movies anyway.

neither do i but i am a guy so...

We gals have to deal with a male protagonist in 99% of games we play...give us a turn to play our own gender every now and then, would you? :p

hey um read the comics instead of saying lilly might show up because since this is the same universe as the comics she's in woodbury in the comics and unknown if lilly is alive or dead but they ran out of ammo so lilly most likely died

I think it's difficult Lilly appear in this game.
Kirkiman even wrote a book telling her story.
If we use Clementine as a protagonist, it will be with the same age or at most 2 years older, because in the Comics are still two years have passed.

if it is to have a female protagonist, I think it will be a person that we do not know.

I really want to play Kenny. If they use characters from last season. Which imo they should. Kenny would make a pretty good protagonist. Then again he could die next episode so who knows.

    no

there's more games with female protagonist than black males. it's time to go back to 40 something white males with scruffy beards and brown hair.

Yeah they was infected with rage virus so it made there body temp spike because all the adrenaline pumping through there veins. So they was crazy strong but also focused on attacking and not even thinking about eating hence RAGE virus....pretty much they was like MINI HULKS lol

There is no way I could see Clem as the main character. Who would want to play as an eight year old girl? That would make the story telling extremely difficult too, because no matter how mature she may be, she's still a child. Dialogue choices and decision making would be much more limited than what we have as Lee. Some of what I'm about to say might have already been said, but I want to chip in my thoughts.

Even for the sake of arguing, they do a five year time jump and make her 13, I'm pretty sure the world would be vastly different then. For one thing, the vast majority of the walker threat would be gone, I'd imagine.

The comic book is maybe two years after the start of the infection by issue 102 and we've already seen some of the walkers unable to move properly due to advanced decomposition.

Now, Kirkman established a long time ago that the walkers outnumbered living humans by 5000 to 1. Even if we are just taking into consideration America, with a population of over 300,000,000 that would leave approximately 60,000 living survivors out there where we are in Season 1.

Five years later, that initial 299,940,000 walkers will have decomposed to the point that they are skeletons. They aren't existing anymore, unless Kirkman lets Telltale introduce a modified virus that preserves the corpses after a set period of decomposition. From what I know of Kirkman, he would NEVER let someone else handle a story point like that for his universe. So the only walkers left existing will be those that have only recently died of what is left of the living human population. Gotta figure that it's less than 30,000 walkers in existence, spread out over the entire United States.

So no, to make a long story short, I really do not see Clementine as the protagonist of Season 2, but I could be entirely wrong.

Now I WOULD be interested in seeing Molly as the protagonist of Season 2. That could easily be done too because maybe she could link up with the survivors of Season 1. That would give us a reason to have imported saves from Season 1 too. The characters and their mental states or recollection of the events in season 1 would be different depending on what decisions you made, while still having essentially a blank slate for a new character that it looks like Telltale wants.

An older Clementine? That's like skipping ahead 5-10 years after season 1. The comics have even barely passed 2 years.

Clementine sure'll not be season 2 protagonist. But I think Clementine needs to be on Season 2. I want to see the reflections of her days with Lee on her personality post-Savannah. I imagine a story with a new survivor wandering alone as a protagonist, his story explained through flashbacks(shaped by our answers to the questions) and Clementine would happen to find him and bring him to the group.
Clementine would be a secondary fixed protagonist, but not "our problem" anymore. I like the idea of a alone guy with a unknown past whose we shape through decisions because it could give us more freedom make him a good, a neutral ou a bad person when the group find out about his past.

I want someone in our group(especially Molly).I think S2 should be connected to this story.Like in the TWD show.Does the new set of survivors and new story takes place ? No,it's all connected. And this game is like tv show.I think it's the best if it's connected.
