No response from TT support.

Please moderators do not move or close this thread. I have been on the support forums for a couple days now trying to get a solution to the corrupted data that erased all of my saves and have received no help. I have sent e-mails and also have received nothing.

Please someone from the TT crew address this problem. This game has been completely amazing, but these gaming crashing errors are unacceptable.

Please other members of the TT community who have experience game crashing errors speak up and let TT know that this is not the product we paid for.

What you don't realize is that we keep moving threads into the support forum because that's how we make sure they get seen by Telltale. Telltale's designers sometimes browse the discussion forums, but if you want your issue to be seen by customer support, you have to post in the right forum.

I admit, I don't know much of what happens on the inside at Telltale, but I would imagine that the days following the release of an episode are hell for Telltale's support staff to keep up with, and it's going to take some time for them to get to every issue. But what I do know is that if you're having trouble getting your issue seen in the support forums, where it's someone's job to look at the threads and help people with their issues, you're almost certain not to get help by posting a thread in a forum that Telltale staff likely only gets to browse in their free time.

Of course, I don't work for Telltale, so I could be wrong. But I don't think I am.

I'm also looking for others members who are experiencing this problem. I figure posting in the support forum is not the place to do that.

I don't know if you've experience it, but when all of your saves are erased in the middle of a play through it's extremely aggravating. My initial run through of this game can never be had now. Everything I've put into this game is gone.

I do try to distinguish between threads looking for a response from Telltale and threads looking for a response from other users before I move a thread. Hence why this one is still where I found it.

I admit, I've never lost a save file in the middle of such a decision-based game before, but I have lost save files that killed my interest in starting the game over and finishing it, so I do understand where you're coming from on that level.

That said, I don't think that would be the case in this game. I remember what all the big choices were, I remember my decisions, and I stand by those decisions, and I love this game enough that I'd be willing to play from the start and make all those decisions again if I had to. But I do know that I'm much more into replaying my games than a lot of other gamers.

This game was released over six months ago. I am not going to make all of the exact same dialogue choices. Also, I'm never going to be surprised again. I know what happens now. The whole appeal of this game for me was making these decisions on the spot and seeing how those decisions would play out. Because of this fatal error, I can never have an original play through.

There is nothing they can do to bring back your saves. I have not suffered any crashes with the games at all. If your save game files were corrupted, my suggestion is to check and see if some of your system files might also be corrupted by dropping to the command prompt (run as administrator) and running a scan

sfc /scannow (type this in the command prompt) it will scan your windows system files for any corrupted data. If it finds anything, it will request your windows disk / image location to fix those issues.

The gaming company is not responsible for corrupted data. They won't issue refunds for this, they can't bring back the game saves, etc. So there's no reason for you to keep posting about this issue.

File corruption like this usually involves a hard disk that is beginning to fail. Suggest running a chkdsk and doing a sector by sector scan.

Don't move the threads. Set them on the laps of the developers.

Many people have made attempts to digitally contact support with NO response and no address to this issue even on Facebook. FLOOD FACEBOOK especially when TTG is plugging this game for some AWARD - most undeserved.

This lack of response is CRIMINAL.

We're looking into the PS3 save corruption issue. We don't have anything to say yet because a fix isn't in place yet, but we are more than aware that it's happening.

    this is jack's response....nothing I know.

You con contact TT by phone at 415.258.1638...but you will just be sent to a voice mail saying they will call you back later.

Also you can send e-mail at: support@telltalegames.com.

If nothing can be done about this within the week I will be contacting the better business bureau out in CA and seeing if this conflict can be resolved.

It pains me to see such a great game that is so poorly put together.

    Need more specifics than that.

Also as I've said a couple times, this thread isn't a tech support / purchase support thread. This is for questions about the game content with the game developers! There is an entire separate forum for tech support issues. I honestly don't know the answers to a lot of those questions, so by posting them here you are wasting your breath! If you post in the support forum or write to support@telltalegames.com you are more likely to be heard by someone who can fix your problem than by posting it here. I am doing my best to help you guys though!

i have a feeling our saves our gone forever. i was on the FINAL SCENE of ep4 and it crashed. I hear if you try to play thru again, it will just crash again in the same fashion. No point anymore. Thanks for nothin TTG

Feel for you guys, is it only on the PS3? I myself played through the whole game again yesterday but thats just me having nothing to do, maybe play again once through making different choices and being the complete opposite personality you did first time? I like to keep two opposite saves in these types of games anyway, but its just as idea for you guys.

Thanks martindn, but it just not the same. I was really into this game because I enjoyed the concept of making tough decisions on the spot and watching the outcome. These decisions can no longer be a surprise because I know whats going to happen. Its just not the same.

    to me
    Hi,

Unfortunately once the saves are lost, they cannot be recovered.

    Thank you,
    Matt

I've had the same problems....losing saves, two error messages: one that says I do not have licensing for the game (that has happened on the past two episodes at time of download and off and on when I try to download episode 4) and then the new error: internet connection lost that I get if I don't get the one I stated above. It has been 6 days and PC users still can not download this episode, the "in-official" fix does not work, I've contacted support/telltale through email, on facebook, & you can not get a response out of Telltale. There were no bugs or problems when they took our money for this game and all we want is to play the game that we paid for, if they can not give us the game we paid for then they should refund our money. I will NEVER buy another game from them EVER:mad:

I hear ya, Jen. I just confirmed I can't get my money back. I really want to play episode five but feel like i should boycott it until TT confirms there will be no issues with it.
