Clem Decides....

edited October 2012 in The Walking Dead
Would that be hot ending where Clem decides Lees fate???

1) She decides to shot him

or

2) She decides to let him live

All this based on what she seen from you and the group actions

If we magically end up in a situation where that becomes plausible...my Lee is screwed. I've been pretty honest about pragmatism and putting others out of their misery with her.

I read a book where that happened once. Main character died, but before he zombified he tied up his nemesis and ate him when he came back as a zombie. The best revenge.

That was in the comic book or another book with zombies? I haven't read TWD comics yet so don't know. I suggested doing the same thing to radio man in another thread...we think alike!

Clem will not have to decide for Lee's fate, as it's Lee who is taking the decisions.

But Clem might have to chose (or you chose for her) between going to the **** with the ****man and Vernon, or on the boat, making here safe with two different groups of people, but two different destinies.

Only thing is that Lee will not follow and will have to let her go (get the violins out).

He will be her housepet. Anytime she does something good, he will mumble something like:...'You did good...brain....need to eat...'".

Considering the first thing I told her was "something all ready killed the babysitter, I just put her to rest" I think I'm screwed too :p Or not, I'd rather be dead-dead instead of a walker.

I was expecting the outcome wouldn't be a black/white choice from the start. Nor do I really expect a direct one to be in the players hands. A lot of your decisions rub off on Clems personality.

I mentioned somewhere a few months ago that no characters fates were certain and the announcement of a second season would not prove anything about the events of season 1, even with forward compatible saves.

    MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD!

With Lees fate appearing to be sealed, that would seem all so true. The most climatic scenario I can imagine is that Clem will need to use what she's learned to shoot a turned Lee herself. If you didn't toughen her up enough she'll not be able to save herself. Telling her harsh truths, allowing her to witness murder, taking her to Crawford (which allows her first, and so far only experience shooting a zombie). Those are just some examples.

I'd put big wads of money that your influence on her will be the single most important factor in the end.

Nah, your previous choices won't affect Clem in any way. The story is pretty linear, and won't allow Clem to choose to shoot Lee or not. Letting her shoot Lee is likely the final choice.

this action would be based on what you taught clem reguarding human compassion... seems fitting tho for an 8 year old to judge a convicted killers fate

Okay, I do agree with your influence on her being the single most important factor in the end.

But I have to disagree with the other part. Because then, there would be a right way to play the game. One thing about Crawford, though. If you leave Clem behind with a gun, a walker will get into the house and she will kill it with ease, so she bags her first walker either way. But back to my other point. If a person plays the game thinking she's doing the right thing, but not "toughening her up", and in the end gets rewarded with a dead Clem because of his decisions, Telltale would get a lot of frustrated players. I think the way you raise her will change the way she thinks about Lee in his last moments, but I think she'll mercy kill him either way. If not, maybe Lee will get someone else to do it, or do it himself. There are a lot of possibilities.
