[Spoilers] What's your percentage? [Spoilers]

edited October 2012 in The Walking Dead
I'm curious who everyone ended up with, and why?
Most particularly, I'm curious about the 16%, 10%, and 6% options.
What ending percentage did you get, and how do you like it?

I ended the game with the 13% option, and don't regret my decisions. I feel like dropping Ben saved a lot of lives in the future, considering how many people died because of his mess ups.

My group consisted of everyone, which I was quite happy about. I think that was the choice with 16%. Definitely the largest, but not by much. I almost made Ben stay behind, but when it comes to Clementine I can't take any chances. The more people, the better chance I have! Once episode 5 comes out, though, I'm going to try to play it through with every posse option, see how much is different. I feel like that above all is definitely the spot where "your choices matter" is actually true.

I got the whole group so 16%. I was happy with it, although Im still ticked off at Kenny for pulling his 'You havent had my back." routine. If Lee hadnt been dying, I would have left him. I saved Ben and Im glad I did. I feel like he is going to get the chance to grow up and redeem himself.

everything was split 50/50 when i played

I had got the 16% option, or taking everyone with me.

Ooo how did that happen? Is there an option for him to die? Or did you just not ask him?
  • edited October 2012
In some cases Kenny won't join if you don't beg him.

I have two saves, in one Kenny doesn't like me much and in the other we're mostly buddies, yet in neither scenario does Kenny come with the group - he's off prepping the boat. In my buddy save he grudgingly agreed right up until Ben was invited.
  • edited October 2012
On all of my saves Kenny insists on coming with me and that I always had his back when it mattered, even on the playthrough were I disagreed with him nearly always.

He was going to come, until I let Ben come along.

Then he gave me "another" ultimatum.

I don't do ultimatums... so Ben got to come and Kenny got left with the boat.

The rest joined. But I dropped Negative Ben. Happily.

I don't do ultimatums either -- so I told him to stop being a pussy and he decided to come along after all. ;)

    Everyone except Kenny

I kind have begged but he still refused to help me...

Just because I wouldn't kill Larry or Ben

I'm in the 6% group, going it alone.

My first instinct was to hide the bite, and then I didn't know what to say, so no one came with me.

    Omid, Christa and Kenny.
let Ben decide, but I think I threatened him too much.
  • edited October 2012
I had Omid, Christa and Ben with me. Kenny went alone to his boat. Honestly, fuck Kenny, I always had his back on Episode 1, but because in Episode 2 I chose to help Larry he´s hated me ever since. If not murdering one person is what made you hate so much, then I don´t even want your company when searching for a child.
  • edited October 2012
    6% for me as well.

I hid the bite from the group, then figured that it would be best if I went alone so as to not endanger anyone else. Now to find and rescue Clem and make sure she is safe before it's too late.
  • edited October 2012
I thought about choosing to go it alone, but decided someone had to be there to carry on looking if Lee doesn't make it (and hopefully spare a bullet for Lee when it's needed).
  • edited October 2012
I really hope who you have in your group matters.
It would be a huge disappointment if,in the first five minutes, it turned out to be:
walkie talkie guy:"Come alone Lee or I Kill Clementine"

Since it's the last episode I'm expecting some kind of variations to the ending.
Who has Lee's back at the end should be a factor and should definitely matter.
  • edited October 2012
I think telling him to stop being a bitch gets him to come along with you..I pretty much never agreed with him..let him kill larry, fist fought him, saved ben..But I did kill his kid, and that kid zombie for him..so maybe that's a factor?

Same here, In my save I helped him Kill Larry but saved Ben but he still left to prep the boat.

I still have my Carly Save so I will see if he chances his mind there since I was his buddy in that save too.

I'm going with everyone but Ben, because I dropped him. Showed the bite and everyone insisted on coming with me, so there's a good chance the entire group winds up dead in my game.
  • edited October 2012
I have two saves, one in which I´m with everyone but Kenny, and one in which I´m with Kenny and nobody else.

I am agonizing over whether to have everyone come with me in the third save, or to go alone in that one. Damn it Telltale, why can we only have three saves on the PC?
  • edited October 2012
I showed the bite, so Omid and Christa jumped right in. Then I tried to get Kenny to come with me, even though he's a tremendous asshole in my save, and he went on about how I had his back in the beginning but lately just cared about myself (even though he was the one who wanted me to drop a teenager to his death), so after I said "I NEED you Kenny", he refused to come. Ben, on the other hand, was glad to join in when I said it was up to him to decide whether or not to come with me. Guess he's Lee's new friend :D
In the end, I think it's for the best that Kenny stays back with the boat. I know he's a very capable person, but he was the one that was always starting arguments with people, and that's the last thing we need there. Plus, he's protecting the boat, so I guess the boat will be safe and ready to take the remaining of the group away once we're done saving Clementine and kicking Walkie-Talkie guy's ass. With a shotgun.

So, Omid, Christa, Ben and Lee. Kenny stays with the boat.

Everyone but Ben (who nobly recognized how useless he was in the world). I tried to tell everyone to let my go alone, but I guess when you're nice all the time, no one takes a hint.

I got 16%. I left Ben alone (for example: how brainless is he to take the axe that is blocking the door where *everybody* entered the building because the group were running from the Walkers?! too dangerous to take him too) but I saved his life, he may be stupid, but he seems to be a good guy after all.
And the rest of the group came with me, Kenny is pissing me off, but hey, the rest of all original survivors are dead or missing and we share a long story, I think he is not gonna drop us. ...Hmm, I didn't think about the part that he could be trying to kill Lee like he killed that angry dude with the heart problems. Gah, I hope the Walker brushed his teeth before he ninja'ed Lee and wasn't infectious. ;)

I'm going with everyone but Ben. I didn't know what to say when Kenny said he shouldn't come. The timer was going really fast so I didn't get a chance to respond and I think I said nothing. How do you get everyone to go?

As for the relationship with Kenny he said something along the lines of, I wasn't always with him or had his back but I took care of his family and Clementine's my family and he knows how important it is so he'd come. I did not help him kill Larry and sometimes sided with Lily. But I fed Duck and saved him in ep 1. So I think if you always try to help his family he will come along.

Just tell Kenny "Deal with it" when he complains about Ben, and tell Ben Clem needs him and apparently they'll both come.

If you didn't side with him when it came to killing Larry, he'll only tag along if you were nice to his family and pick "Clem is my family" (or something like that). If you pick any other option, he'll apparently refuse to come, which is what happened on my playthrough. And I helped his family whenever I could, so Kenny was left behind because I didn't pick the right option. But I'm happy with that, so it's not really a problem.

    >Finally corner the guy who took Clementine
    > Ben swings through the window tarzan style with Clementine under his arm yelling "I'm coming to help Lee and I found Clementine!"
    >"F@$# LEE MOVE!!!"
    >smashes into Lee, flinging him fifteen feet across the room
    >Clementine is on the floor crying with her face full of glass shards
    > Ben is lying on top of Lee as he dies, trapping him as the kidnapper walks over with an evil grin on his face to finish off Lee
    >"D-Did I do good Lee?"
    >"Screw you Ben"
    >"I-I finally proved myself"
    >Fade to black
    >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHFy3YWpRx8 This plays and a picture of Ben giving a thumbs up appears as the credits play
    > This ending is 100% unavoidable if Ben is in your final group at all

Hating on Ben aside, I got everyone to come with me. Told Kenny to deal with it. Although he is a screw up, if Ben didn't know about turning whenever you die, no matter what, we may not have survived the meat locker with Larry incident. I feel Ben will really make things right. And he reminds myself of me. :o

Your prediction is ... scarily accurate. (Except for me. I let him die. Yeehaw.)

During my first Episode 4 play through, Kenny did not come with me in the end, and I did not want to play the older episodes again to change that, but I found out the easy way to get the end where everyone comes with me.

    1. I chose to not conceal the bite, and asked for help, which triggered Christa and Omid to offer to help, which I said thank you for.

    2. Then Kenny gave his speech and then asked me if I had been there for him. I had not always sided with him (did not murder Larry, sometimes stayed neutral between Lily and him, etc.) so if I chose I NEED You, he refused to come with me, so I chose Clem is my family instead. This option reminded him that I had been nice to Katje and Duck (not perfect, I did choose to save Shawn over Duck, but I later on did feed Duck at the motor lodge, told Kaje about my past, and I shot Duck), so Kenny decided to come because of his family. If you have not been siding with Kenny, and been a jerk to Katje and Duck, nothing you say will probably make him come at this point, and you probably don't want him too either.

    3. At this point I said Ben can come too, and the Kenny again tried to get out of the group because of Ben, but I told him to deal with it, and he stayed. He tried to say he wanted to guard the boat, but Christa said we had to go, and I did not have to intervene.

It's funny how the most passionate option I NEED you Kenny, turns him into a selfish, score keeping, asshole.

I know, thats what makes it the worst. He wouldnt even do it for Clementine? He's nothing but a fair-weather friend.

I managed to get everyone to come with me, I wasn't perfect all the time but showing the bite helped and trying to make up for all the bad things I did to Kenny in the beginning definitely helped!!

So, Omid, Christa, Ben and Lee. Kenny stays with the boat.

Let me get this straight...in your play-through Kenny doesn't like you, Kenny doesn't like Ben, Kenny could care less about Omid and Christa because they barely know each other.

So...you left Kenny alone with a working boat? He may as well just "guard" that boat right into the water and take off. :)

I didn't leave him, he decided to be a bitch and stay behind. And he said he'd wait for Lee at least till nightfall, and even take him if they came back, although I wouldn't really want Lee to be on a boat with his friends if he's bit. And while I don't really trust him to help Lee if he can just leave him behind, this situation is a lot different. I really don't think he'd take off without the people who have been with him all along and helped him get the stuff for the boat.

Kenny was an asshole and was the only one who didn't come with me. He's never had my back ever since I tried to revive Larry, I'm glad he's finally open about it now.
