So the other walkie-talkie...

edited October 2012 in The Walking Dead
Did anyone forget that Glenn was the one that had the other walkie-talkie? And that he was heading back to Atlanta to find his friends?

Maybe this guy on the radio is someone from Lee's past who came across poor old Glenn and got his radio.... But then how did he get to Savannah before them?

Thoughts?

We haven't seen Glenn interact with someone who just meets Rick's group and takes off with a walkie-talkie in the comics. I'm betting that there were extra radios that could connect to Clem's. But also, the man knows Lee and Clem personally...I can't decide!

By the point the man begins talking to Clem (which I believe to be just after the end of Episode 2, when she gets the batteries for it) Rick has already found Glenn, Shane, Lori, and the rest of the Atlanta group. Since nothing happens with Glenn and the radio in the comics, and the guy wouldn't even need the talkie itself, Glenn is fine and has no idea what Lee and the rest have gotten into since he left.

If I remember correctly, it was stated a few times on the forum that as long as the talkie-guy's radio has the range to reach Macon, and is on the same frequency as Clem, he could easily talk to her without the other radio. I think that this guy has always been in Savannah, and might be trying to capitalize on the group's plan to find a boat. Maybe he holds Clem ransom and demands the group give him the boat? I can't see any other reason the guy would contact Lee again at the end of 4.

True, I wasn't even aware of such comics. Is this Dark Horse comics by any chance?

Macon is over 150 miles from Savannah, even if the guy had a radio station, he wouldnt be able to transmit to a walkie talkie that far (nor would he know the frequency) and certainly wouldnt be equipped to receive the signal back.

Either hes been following them the whole time, which I doubt, because that would have taken a whole lot of resources to be able to do that and also youd think he would have done something earlier
or, he started talking to Clem right after she asks Lee if she can tell her parents theyre coming to savannah, which I think is likely
why the hell hes messing with them I have no idea though, itd be a hell of a coincidence if someone from Lee's past randomly came upon Clem's walkie frequency
the only thing I can think of is the same thing, he wants to take the boat from them
