So I'll be playing it on my PC first then? I don't mind!
  • edited November 2012
My last post bitching on TT was before the date was released. I taught I was done with this forum cause I taught that shit could not possibly be worst than it allready was.

I come after work, go to the game: "coming soon"

    WHAt THE FUCK???

This whole "monthly release" (not even monthly) thing is the worst fucking release a game could ever have.

Hey, guys, instead of whining, how about being PATIENT?
Be glad we've been blessed with the game in the first place.

I find it pretty unfair that Sony were the people who got it delayed for so long, and they get it first :P

Source? This is the first I've heard that.

More content does mean that it will take longer for it to be posted, but a lot of the content in the update is long awaited by fans so they are probably working as fast as possible to get the update live, in order to increase sales.

If the update is released late at night, sales will not be as high.

I am sure we will be playing episode 5 soon! When I finish I will post a detailed review in the spoiler boards, and I might post a video of the ending!!

I really doubt the time of an update will significantly affect sales. Only existing players care about when an episode is released, and they're already locked into their platform of choice because of their saves. New players aren't going to be in a mad rush to buy this, especially when it takes a few hours to complete each episode anyway.

What is it about these releases that make people lose their minds?

So the pc release is tommorow? Any idea of the time and timezone for that?

We paid money for this, we have the right to complain

Said to read this in one of the reviews:
THE BAD: Shortest episode of the series.

Complain to Sony, not Telltale. Telltale has done its part.

Oh come now, if Telltale has it ready and Sony for some unforeseen reason wont put it up for download, is it really necessary to complain on the forum? A couple of hours after its supposed to be released no less. Some countries dont even have running water, im sure it wont hurt you to be patient for a few hours - besides we get it tommorow on our platform :p

You can complain, but just don't be annoying about it. It is out of Telltale's hands.

Steam usually updates their store anywhere from 1:00 - 3:00PM EST. That can vary though. I'm pretty sure Episode 4 was put up and downloaded around 2:00PM, because I remember I got to only play it for a little bit before I had to go to work at 4:00.

Also, PSN folks, the PSN store has ALWAYS updated around 6:00PM EST. Relax. You are still getting it first, you can wait a few hours.

Do all patch's come into effect around that time too? Because as someone mentioned this might be taken for a sort of patch, it might not be restricted to that sort of timeframe.

But if not, then i shall assume 3pm at the most, if not a little later - good to get an idea though.

Steam generally updates around 9-10 AM PST, which yeah, would put it between 12 PM - 1 PM EST. That's from my past experience. That's when most of the Valve employees start their work day ;)

I'm not entirely sure. I got a Steam Store Update today around 1:36PM. It's probably going to be within that time area.

Who did I pay again? TT!!

If TT gets paid, and again if TT announces a date...it's their responsability to ensure the 3rd party plays their part correctly.

When Skyrim was released...Can you imagine EB staff telling people in the line up "oh sorry guys...blabla"?

    NO

I don't care if TWD is DLC....it should be the same

side note: someone posted this was the shortest episode? I sure as hell hope not.

You paid Sony, and TT got a significant cut. Sony is releasing it. It's more than still the 20th. It will come out today. They didn't lie. You're just being impatient.

Start complaining when it's the 21st in America and it's not on PS3 yet.

You can't compare brick and mortar stores to online stores, because online stores are the ones who control the release on their server.

Telltale already gave the game to Sony. It's up to Sony to put it up. Using your analogy, it would be like if GameStop had a bunch of discs in their store room and wouldn't bring them up front until a certain time of the day. You can't blame the game developer for that.
  • edited November 2012
It's probably so short cuz there's "no time left". so not too many hmm pointy type clickables I'm sure:p

^^^If gamestop held back a game like that they would be murdered or just straight up robbed. either way people are gonna get that damned disc:p
  • edited November 2012
that would suck if its the shortest, they were already pretty short to begin with. I would hope episode 5 is the best one and a epic finale to the season.
  • edited November 2012
(NO SPOILERS) Yes I read in another review that it is shorter than ep1. One reviewer said that they were so depressed at the ending that they didn't even care they just got a platinum trophy.

What I meant is: In both scenarios, I paid for a service...and in both scenarios, the service should be good. And for 1001 reasons that I allready mentionned, I did not have a good experience with the "release mode" of TWD.

    Whatever....my rage is out now

I would take 20 minutes of quality epicness over 1 hour 40 minutes of bland and 20 minutes of epicness.

I'm sure it won't be THAT noticeable and will be worth the wait. :)

That would be a sad way to go out for TT. The storyline has been so good up to now I hope they really continued that creativity to the end. Hope its not like most movie sequels that they just rush out to get paid for

As of 5:00 PM EST it is not up on the PSN or through the game itself.

    Tomorrow (21st)

Though for the PC/Mac release through this site it could be the early hours of the 22nd before it's out. Xbox, PSN & Steam will almost certainly have it tomorrow.
By that, do you mean on Steam too?... :(

Shortest episode? D: I was hoping it'd be pretty long cause it's the season finale! D:

I just checked the store again... 4:15 CST and still no sign of it. Growing more and more anxious as the hours pass!

I'm so fucking tired of Sony bullshitting like this, I've been waiting for so goddamn long, fuck you if you don't like my bitching, because were ALL thinking it. I really need some solid evidence that this shit will even come out today. I expected it this morning and it is now 5:23pm. Fuck that.

I'm not blaming you for bitching at Sony. I just blame the people bitching at Telltale. Sony has pushed releases as late as 9 PM EST before :(
Not saying that's the case tonight, God I hope not.

nope, had episode 4 quarter to 4, i think part of the reason its taking so long is the way the new store is, i think that mabey things wont appear until the store fully updates, in other words right now searching for it is pointless

Yeah, not bitching at telltale at all. They put the game out there when they said they would, but Sony is the one torturing us with this bullshit. They shouldn't lump this game in with 9 others that need to be released today too. I just hate this waiting bullshit.

Where are you guys getting these weird expectations from? As far as I know, all they've said is that it's coming out on the 20th on PSN NA. It's still the 20th across NA, so they still have time to live up to their promises. When the 21st rolls around, you can bitch to your hearts' content. Until then, you're acting like spoiled children.
