What happens if you never give Clem her hat back?

At the end of episode 4, you see clem's hat on the ground. But what if you never give it back to her? Do you pick up a hat or what? Or does Lee eventually give it back anyway some time near the end of Episode 2?

    Lee will eventually sell it on Ebay, using the money from the sale to purchase a hack saw for his arm

    Her pic in 5 has it so you see her one more time. But she also looks zombified in the eyes so who knows till its out.

    He gives it back automatically when he enters the barn, after he breaks the generator.
