I saved him, I kinda wanted him to die, but when given the chance to save him I felt like I had to since I had the choice, no matter how much he f*cked up, I don't want to be just as bad as he's been so far in the game, I just don't understand, it's a friggin miracle that this dumbass is still alive, he keeps doing stupid sh*t that could end up killing the whole gang, if this was real life and not a game, I think I would has expelled him from the group long time ago due to all his stupid actions, regardless of his intentions.
That kid was nothing but a perfect fuck up! He literally fucked up everything! He is responsible for many people's deaths and nearly got rest of the group killed in the ep 4! And the worst thing was that that he left Clementine all by herself in to the middle of zombie horde! He deserved it...
I saved him cause well clem liked him. Plus I feel maybe he could grow and learn in time.... that or maybe push him down for zombie food as the group gets away. He's made his mistakes but then do you really trust Kenny?
I saved him as no matter how bad someone is I won't kill them
I've spared and saved everyone except the Woman in episode 3 who I shot to save her from being ripped apart.
I actually did kill him, despite the fact that my Lee is the kind of guy who would never do that. But after he just left Clem in danger I was kinda pissed at him and that, combined with his continued incompetance and the fact that he actually asked me to let him go made me do it. And I regretted it almost immediately afterwards but it was done and that's one of the things I love about this game, which is also why I didn't just go back and redo the choice. I made a bad call and now I have to live with it.
No, i didnt kill him. Yes i do agree he is stupid kid.
But if he didnt made the trade the bandits they would've attack sooner. and without him you would'nt now that that you turn into a zombie when you die.
I saved him because I knew he had good in him. And I didn't bring Clementine along, so there's no way I just pulled him up because she voted for him to stay (I also voted for him to stay).
I don't like to use the word kill. Assisted suicide is a better way to put it. Sure giving the bandits drugs stopped them attacking but any person who chose the right options would have noted the bandit leader was open to deals and accepting if you told him you would double the package. A deal could have been reached, the motor inn could have been maintained for a little while longer MAYBE. If he had told the group I would have been fine with it but instead his stupidity got Carly killed and Lilly left behind. Then of course there is his two blunders with Clem in episode 4, and finally the hatchet incident. I have never done a bigger facepalm in my life. Fortunately for him i'm a good shot so molly is all right(didn't bring clem). Besides that he is easily panicked and prone to making poor decisions(ie telling kenny), he also told me to drop him. The game definately made me think about it, but kenny hit it home reminding me of the boat's capacity.
Sure maybe he will redeem himself in episode 5, maybe die in a heroic act of sacrifice. Maybe. I don't care if he does. I don't think it makes anyone more "right" in saving him.
Besides kenny will probably off him at first oppurtunity(if he came)
I dont kill people, just because they do some stupid things. Thing of all the people i would have to kill. No i saved him. Hes a good guy inside. And now he is going to prove it

Cool, I also did the same thing
Didn't bring Clem and still defended him, voted for him to stay and pulled him up.
He messes up a lot, but he's still a good person.
No I didn't kill him because I felt sorry for him. He's just a dumb kid who made some mistakes and although I couldn't stand him it would have been cruel to drop him. I think he's going to be the hero of episode 5 somehow.
Pros: Told the truth about the reanimation of walkers
Protected his group by giving supplies to the bandits
Tried to remain truthful
Helped Kenny out as often as he could
Cons:Gave bandits supplies
Got Katjaa, Duck, Carley/Doug killed (And Lilly kicked out)
Abandoned Clementine when surrounded by walkers
Took the hatchet in Crawford's doors that kept the group safe
Got Brie killed
i didn't kill him, i let him go. i don't understand people who say they saved the guy because he's good inside. wake the hell up, you are in the middle of a zombie apocalypse! you are responsible for a helpless little girl, as well as an entire group of other survivors. quite clearly Ben cannot be trusted, is irresponsible, and pretty useless overall. do you know what's it called? malicious negligence.
it was also quite obvious Ben understood all that as well, and basically gave up on himself, asking Lee to let him go. besides, at that point in the game you already know the boat wont take more than 5 people, so a decision like this would be inevitable.
I killed him and had my mind set on letting him go if there was ever a point since he caused Carley to die. Then Duck and Katjaa died because of him. Then Chuck died because of him as he was a coward and wouldn't help Clementine. And then he caused Brie to die. Not only that but he wouldn't listen to instructions, I had Lee tell him to watch Clementine and then I see her showing up on the streets. He also screwed the group by stealing supplies, he should have told the group about that deal and let he group decide. He was a liability and I felt like letting him go was for the good of the group. Its not like he brought anything to the group.
I was gonna pull him up but I was shocked, panicking and I was shaking, so I pressed the wrong button and he fell. I figured that even after all the stupid things he did, I could do with an extra pair of hands. Ben is a troubled teenager who made some crappy decisions and plus he lost his teacher, and his friend of course he is going to be fucked up.
As much as I dislike Ben, I didn't have it in my heart to let him go especially knowing that Clementine liked him. I'm hoping that he will step up and finally be useful to the group.
I did save him because I thought that Lee still had some humanity left
This and the fact he is still a kid. If he did any of his "idiot" moves out of hatred for the group I would have killed him, but he was naive and afraid...just a scared kid. Therefore I didn't hold any of it against him even though I was mad as hell at him, especially for leaving Clem in the street and again at the house.
I like Ben, despite his stupid, recless behaviour, so I've never wanted to kill him or left him behind. I think it's the fault of the whole group that Ben is so... irresponsible. When
Mr. Parker and Travis died
, he was left to his own devices (I hope this phrase is correct). No one show him any interest. When my Lee told Carley that
he told Ben about being a killer
(I did tell Ben, because I wanted him to feel like a part of the group), her reactions was like "WTF!? What for!?". Lee answered
"He's happy I told him... something"
and then something about
Ben being a low risk
. I think Ben knew about it and he must have felt like he didn't belong to the group. And that's why he's done what he's done.
I didn't kill him. Yeah, he is a dumbass, stupid and everything... But he's not evil, he always tried to help and do the right thing, and after all... He's just a boy... I though he didn't deserve to die. And, if we just kill people live this, without considering the importance of human life... What make us better than the walkers?

No, this is the normal discussion. You should ask this in the spoiler discussion forum: http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=80 So you don't spoil those who haven't played episode 4 yet.
whoopsy
How old are you? You have terrible grammar.
You think all 7 billion odd people on earth speak english?

well most people do, most countries english is the second language from their native tongue..
even the germans..(the country, not meant to be a slight on vain our mod)

More cons than pros.......eh. [Pull him up]
quite bad logic, if you want to count the numbers then chinese is the most spread language on the earth...
it was also quite obvious Ben understood all that as well, and basically gave up on himself, asking Lee to let him go. besides, at that point in the game you already know the boat wont take more than 5 people, so a decision like this would be inevitable.
The point is to see the reason behind the choice.
This and the fact he is still a kid. If he did any of his "idiot" moves out of hatred for the group I would have killed him, but he was naive and afraid...just a scared kid. really ? hmmm might want to show proof of that..
