I was reading up on IGN and found an article about the walking dead game and it was about the retail release. The thing that intrigued me was that there will be a collector's edition that includes Compendium 1 ( the first 48 issues of walking dead comics ), along with the game itself. It'll come in 70 bucks while the regular edition will be just 30 bucks. Here's the article

PS: In the article TellTale "confirmed" that episode 5 is expected to come out in November. How's this for a good day?

    I wonder if this Limited (which is GS exclusive) will reach outside US... those 48 comics would be the only reason to buy the retail.

    i wonder what versions will be available for people who bought the whole season digitally
    like me.

    for BTTF there was a deluxe edition with extras and stuff i hope there will be something like that and not only the standard version especially since i live a long way from the US
    and probably wont be able the get the limited edition.

    The entire first Compendium? Telltale's going all out here, aren't they?

    Still, seems like a pretty cool bundle. And we won't have to wait two months for the finale! Yay!

    I am not going to get it as I am already getting compendium 1 very soon, and I have already bought all of the episodes released so far.

    id buy the retail version as a gift, seeing as I got the steam version for a tf2 item a while back, I kind of owe telltale, and they've earned it with this awesome game.

    I'll keep the compenduim tho :3

    Eh, I would've loved some game exclusive stuff to be packaged with the game instead of random comic items. Another version of the first comic compendium? Come on.

    If it's a GameStop preorder doesn't that mean it'll be unavailable outside the US? That sucks, man.

    Also I'm a little disappointed they didn't use something game specific for the box and packaging art. Seeing the group done in Charlie Adlard's style would've really made it something special.

    Excited for the November release of episode 5 though!

    Hopefully those who bought the game on PC on Telltale's site will be offered the chance to upgrade to a deluxe edition ala Bttf and Jurassic Park.

    If it came with the second compendium that would be something but I already own the original artwork compendium 1 so I will just be buying the regular set for my 360. I agree more charlie adlard artwork would rock but he's busy keeping up with his monthly comics and such I suppose;)

    Does TT actually make any more money of the pre order limited edition vs the pre order regular edition? This limited edition, I imagine, is driven by GS, not by TT (since it is an exclusive) and I suspect TT gets the same from a limited edition as they do a regular edition.

    TT has put together a masterpiece with this game and they deserve every cent, so please support them, not an evil gaming store. If they don't make more, and if you really want to support TT get an extra copy and gift it and buy the compendium 1 from amazon for 36 USD.

    WHAT ABOUT PC RETAIL RELEASE ? Why is it that PC has to be left behind as always and since when did XBOX take a priority over PC ?

    I honestly have to agree. TT peeps, if you're reading this, you should really offer some kind of special deal/bundle for the PC purchasers who patiently (or not so patiently) waited between installments.
