Episode 5 different endings.

edited October 2012 in The Walking Dead
Am I the only one who thinks the ending wont be generic to everyone? (So there will be several different outcomes for the end). I have a feeling the last episode actions will vary slightly depending on what you have done through the whole series and choices you have made.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the groups fate would remain unknown, or certain characters die, or it is unknown whether Lee dies etc. With so many possibilities it would give the players their own views on what they believe would happen as well, thus leaving episode 2 open for a brand new story.

I remember G. Whitta Saying the ending wouldn't change, that there was only one possible outcome.

As long as its better than ep 3's ending I will be over joyed. And I don't think it's going to split off big, little things yeah and group deaths will be affected but I am prepared for the worst case scenario so it'll take alot to affect me;)

Gary Whitta only said the ending was set in stone from the begining...not that there was only one. I think actually he was talking about Lee being bitten. That it was always going to happen no matter where they went:p

Nothing personal but I hope you aren't right Ghositex. I would be very disappointed if there is only one ending and all choices were completely useless.

In the live stream for episode 4, Gary Whitta said that there would only be one ending but the way to get to get to that ending would be different from another person. He said he wanted it like this because you are still playing as Lee Everett, not as some other character that you made up, so you have to follow Lee's journey from start to finish. It's only what you do in between that really affects how the journey went.

Thanks for posting it, I gave up looking for it after a while ^^
Sadly, Soda, seems like I was right. Anyway, you have never been able to truly change the course of the story, but the feelings that story gave You/Your Lee. I think it will be something like Ep. 3's ending... but way better (not saying episode three's ending was lame, I'm just saying the season finale will be even better :P). I'll better have a box of tissues somewhere when playing episode 5...

But this is not Jurassic Park, is it? Wait... Zombie dinosaurs.. Or... The walking park... or... Jurassic Dead! Oh god, just think about the possibilities :0

Alright, I just watched the entirety of the livestream myself so I could confirm if Gary Whitta/Nick Herman/Jobe (missed his last name, sorry) said anything about it. It seemed to me that there wasn't a definitive answer of yes or no, but you can be the judge.

That discussion starts at around 3 hours and 20 minutes, if you want to skip to it.

To me it sounded like there would be slight variations (probably concerning the fates of those in your party, including possibly Clementine), but there wouldn't be many of them, and the focus would be on the story getting there. Which is how it should be, in my opinion.

Disclaimer: I watched until the end of the TWDG stream only (up until the point where the guy went to the bathroom), because I doubt that there was anything else about the game in the remaining 17 hours of the livestream.
