My reaction? Seriously, they're going to kill Lee? My Lee would've been smart enough to avoid going near the trash bin unless he was sure it was safe! WTF! ?
At first, I wasn't sure. The Walker lunged and immediately Lee obscured the screen, once the struggle was over and it was revealed, my first thoughts were of shock, mainly because of how Lee had grown on me since Episode 1. After the shock, It became despair for the situation he was now facing. It eased the pain seeing Lee immediately put his focus back on Clementine though.
If he does die...(and I say IF) I wouldn't really be surprised. Killing off the main character is becoming normal in the gaming world. I think Molly summed it up best with the line, "In the end, the dead always win."
To kill him off will suck in one aspect, but in The Walking Dead world...characters dying is almost a given. So offing the main character...yup it sucks but again it wouldn't be a surprise. But given how TTG has a way of shocking their players, I wouldn't write Lee's death in stone just yet.
I was a bit shocked, but I was more worked up about the decision of showing or not showing the bite, because I didn't really know what to do, than the fact that Lee had just gotten bitten. I kind of don't want him to die, but I wasn't expecting Lee to actually make it. Lee getting his death sentence by the end of episode 4 wasn't much of a shock to me.
Not shocked or surprised, I was half expecting Lee to not survive the end of the season. The "ambush" felt cheap, all things considered. Someone else on the forum pointed out that the stench of the dead would be in the air so the zombie's smell would be obscured, but I was still expecting a zombie in the trash pile, my Lee would have also.
I do think Lee will bite it (heh). Kirkman doesn't have any cannonical way to survive a zombie bite aside from amputation and that time's already passed.
Lee getting bit was one of those things I think we could've assumed from the start.
There are no 'happy endings' in Walking Dead, and I figured either Lee or Clementine or both would be dead by the end of Episode 5.
Assuming Clementine survives the experience the cynic in me is expecting a scene in which Lee collapses in death at the end of the docks as Clementine looks on from the motor boat as it speeds off into the sunset.
Though Lee (and/or Clementine) dying does mean we're probably getting an entirely new cast of characters for Season 2.
(Edit: Or they could throw a cheap shot into the mix and make Lee the only person on earth to be immune to zombie bites.)

The bite was small compared to that Duck got.
Duck got sick very fast due to the fact it was a large bite AND he was so young. His body didn't stand a chance.
But Lee is a adult with a minor bite, he could fight the infection and make it.
I hope at least...

Yeah... getting bit is a death sentence, regardless of the size of the bite.
