Green-blooded, pointed-eared hobgoblin
Just a thread for fun!
OK how would the different races from Star Trek (any series) handle a zombie outbreak in a pre-transporter/warp era?
I think the Q would have the upper hand or the Vulcans would scientifically figure it out. any thoughts.....?

depends on how far back in the history of vulcans you go, they were savage before their society embraced logic (it is why they are so strong), but the logical answer to the zombie problem is killing them all so they would do that if they couldn't cure it, the klingons would probably think becoming a zombie would be an honorable death because you continue to fight even after you are dead so they may not see it as a problem, the ferengi would probably become cave people and hide, the borg would assimilate them and use the virus to assimilate others, the Cardassians would probably keep them a secret and store them for tactical use and the Dominion would find a way to use them as slaves, there are probably some others i missed but that what i think they would do

Now there's something you don't see every day.
My god! zombie stormtroopers! I've seen pictures before but thought they were only fan made, not that such a thing actually existed in Star Wars lore!
Epic theory on the Klingon reaction!

Vulcans control their emotions, they'd definitely have less problems turning their weapons on risen loved ones and those that know they're infected wouldn't go into denial or try to hide it until they turn in a crowded area. Vulcan society I can actually see living with the outbreak for generations even if it can't be cured. I believe they were spacefaring before they were logical, however, as the split with the Romulans happened when they were one race and already had planets colonized. If that's the case, even with super strength I think they'd be on par with human society.
For Klingons, zombification would probably be seen as the honorable path for those too weak or too old to continue being warriors and are running the risk of dying a straw death. Romulans and Cardassians would similarly try to weaponise it, they'd probably be able to contain it through pure destructive zeal and the willingness to use WMDs, but I doubt their weaponized infected would be volunteers like the Klingons.
The Kazon and Pakleds are functionally retarded as-is, no hope there.
that is one of the greatest compliments i have ever received, but mainly because i can hear spock saying it
