Is Steam Required for TWD?

Hi guys,

I'm interested in buying The Walking Dead for someone else who unlike me does not use Steam.

Is this possible or is it going to be a major pain getting it from my PC (where it will be downloaded to) to another computer in the same house that does not use Steam?

It's for my mum, I buy her adventure games all the time!

    You can buy it directly here from Telltale and then the game doesn't need Steam.
