this game def. surprised me, it really took the spirit of the comic book and made their story really well....the activision walking dead game tho will probably be a left 4 dead ripoff and make tons more than TTG's walking dead

Good lord, what was Kirkman thinking giving Activision the rights?

Let Activision make their own version of The Walking Dead I'll buy that game see what i think of it and still continue playing TTL's The Walking Dead just because I really want to know what happens next in episode 5 and the rest of the second, third, fourth, so-on seasons. If TellTaleGames would make more The Walking Dead Game seasons which I'm kinda grew into liking the game.

Don't hate on the Activision TWD. You just know that every review of that game is going to contain some variation of "but if you want to experience a real Walking Dead game, check out Telltale's recently released version." It'll be good advertising.

i heard in an interview with Kirkman that he has nothing to do with the activision game, AMC are the ones behind this game...im assuming hes just gonna get paid for it with no creative input from his side

Guys, Activision is not making a Walking Dead game, they're just publishing it. It's being made by the same guys who made Kinect Star Wars.

I'm guessing he was thinking "CHACHING!$!$!$!$!$!$!" :p Honestly, I can't fault him for that at all.

As for what I thought when I first heard about telltales the walking dead? "Finally a zombie game with a focus on story!"

When I first heard of it, I thought to myself "cool!", but never tried it until the first 2 episodes became free for a while on PS+. Now I can't wait for the final episode.

I was browsing Youtube for video's of TWD TV show and saw some of the game's pic's. So, I clicked one to see what it was.. I watched one clip up to the babysitter in Clem's house, turned it off, then bought EP1 and played from start to finish. I've never even heard of TellTale or this game til then. Now i'm hooked, awaiting EP5 and season 2!

Haha. Get it? Dying. Zombies. I mean walkers.

Honestly i just wanted a cheap action game and conveniently had the right amount of mp on my account (didnt know about the walking dead at all b4 this game) Finished episode 1 and thought that was the whole game, till a couple weeks later it started updating itself and i got the very twisted episode 2 which ultimately made this my favorite game! Then 3 and 4 managed to top it. best 5X5 dollars ive ever spent

When I first heard about this game I thought it was going to be another cheap zombie tale and was surprised Telltale was making it because they are primarily about story, character development, and puzzles. I really hated anything that had to do with zombies because I thought the premise was stupid with all these convoluted reasons why zombie exists and the gameplay is incredibly repetitive and boring.

For that reason, I never got into Walking Dead until I saw just what it was really about through this game; not about zombies, but survival and how humanity changes in the circumstances of an apocalypse with some losing their humanity while others exploit it for their own gains. It finally allows characters to stop and acknowledge that these zombies were once people (as opposed to other games where characters just see them as sport) and really embraces just how horrible and tragic such a set of circumstances really is.

This is the only franchise with zombies in it that I really have enjoyed and it is amazing how well Telltale made it. I will never be crazy about the whole zombie craze, but Walking Dead truly makes it into an incredible and emotional tale and this has extended into the game amazingly.

They should have went to Bethesda or Rock Star games for an open world TWD. Meh to Activision.

But TTG did not have a reputation for those types of games...they went with TTG because adventure games are their bread and butter and that story comes before all.

Yes and this is worse. I still think an open TWD world maybe produced by Bethesda or Rock Star games would be much better. Giving the option of picking any of the existing characters as your lead.

TWD begs for a great open-world format.
