Episode 5 predictions/discussion based on TROPHY LIST (merged threads)

edited November 2012 in The Walking Dead
Hey there guys, the trophies for episode 5 are already decided so I figured why not elaborate on them and guess what's going to happen?

To begin with, here is the trophy list (Achievements for Xbox players) :

http://www.ps3trophies.org/game/the-walking-dead/trophies/ Scroll down and you can see the episode 5 trophies.

And here is a screenshot I took :

Now lets get into the good stuff shall we?

-Chapter 1 Trophy-

Into The Fire

http://www.ps3trophies.org/game/the-walking-dead/trophy/47423-Into-The-Fire.html

Discussion

The picture shows Lee with a few zombies behind him. Might have to do something with the horde? Maybe by 'Into the Fire' it means that the horde that is going to Savanna will be going into the fire and all be burned to death? Or maybe Lee will have to go through a house that is on fire to save or get someone/something?

-Chapter 2 Trophy-

Twice Shy

FKSgZ.png

Link-

http://www.ps3trophies.org/game/the-walking-dead/trophy/47424-Twice-Shy.html

Discussion

The picture shows someone getting bit by a zombie. Might be the death of someone in the group? I've seen someone predict that it might be Christa getting bit and losing her and the baby. Although that might be unlikely depending if you brang her or not. Or maybe you'll come across her way and you witness her being eaten? Who knows.

_________________________________________________________________________________

-Chapter 3 Trophy-

There Ain't No Way

PeAaC.png

Link-

http://www.ps3trophies.org/game/the-walking-dead/trophy/47425-There-Ain-t-No-Way.html

Discussion

For this one I think that it might be another death of someone in your group and there is absolute no way to save him/her this time. It might be Ben, since you got the option to save him once, but this time there isn't a way to save him. It might also be there ain't no way of finding Clems parents?

_________________________________________________________________________________

-Chapter 4 Trophy-

Mercy

T10lf.png

Link-

http://www.ps3trophies.org/game/the-walking-dead/trophy/47426-Mercy.html

Discussion

I think that you have a option to either kill or let Clem's kidnapper live. Makes sense since this Trophy is called 'Mercy'. I find this to be a highly likely schenerio but that's just me. It shows a hand reaching out. It might be the kidnappers.

_________________________________________________________________________________

-Chapter 5 Trophy-

The Marsh House

sLACw.png

Link-

http://www.ps3trophies.org/game/the-walking-dead/trophy/47427-The-Marsh-House.html

Discussion

In episode 3 Clem talks about this place and this place might be where she is being held captive? If that is the case then my explanation for the Trophy 'Mercy' must be false then. It might be where you find Clems parents? You might find them dead or alive? I think that her parents might be alive and that Clem will be happy with her parents after Lee dies. (Doubt that though, would be too cliche, haha.)

_________________________________________________________________________________

-Chapter 6 Trophy-

What's In The Bag?

Mqqce.png

Link-

http://www.ps3trophies.org/game/the-walking-dead/trophy/47428-What-s-In-The-Bag-.html

Discussion

This one confuses me, but maybe it might be some medicine to help Lee's bite? Maybe it might be drugs and alcohal and Clementine will become a druggy and a alcoholic. Something tells me this isn't really an important chapter and is just something minor. But who knows!

_________________________________________________________________________________

-Chapter 7 Trophy-

Stay Close to me

yisSc.png

Link-

http://www.ps3trophies.org/game/the-walking-dead/trophy/47429-Stay-Close-To-Me.html

Discussion

I think that this is when Lee is preparing Clementine to shoot her. It's close to Lee's fate and and maybe Lee is looking for a safe place for Clementine before he dies. Maybe he's going to look for Clementines parents for her to stay with them? Maybe Lee is starting to say his good byes to Clem and there is going to be some bonding and emotional moments.

_________________________________________________________________________________

-Chapter 8 [Finale] Trophy-

What Remains

d5Rao.png

Link-

http://www.ps3trophies.org/game/the-walking-dead/trophy/47430-What-Remains.html

Discussion

This is the finale and I think that this shows how everything like is after Lee and who else who ever died. This might show how Clem has developed and how she has been influenced by your decisions. I think it's going to be a really sad and depressing ending, considering this is The Walking Dead Game of course!

What do you guys think? What do you think each trophy represents? Discuss it up!

"there Ain't no way" sounds like something kenny would say

Yeah, I can see him saying. "There ain't no way we can get this boat running!"
or "There ain't no way we can get everyone on the boat!"
  • edited October 2012
I can imagine "Mercy" killing the kidnapper or letting him live (OHH THERE AIN'T NO WAY THAT BASTARD IS GONNA LIVE)
"into the fire" might be into the zombie herd
"twice shy" might be christa's death or molly's or Omid's
"there ain't no way" might be kenny saying something but this one is confusing
"mercy" might be the death of the kidnapper
"The Marsh House" we might find clem's mom or her undead mom
"What's in the bag" is probably a vaccine or cure chapter (maybe not)
"stay close to me" might be the end of lee and they are near the docks to leave the place
"what remains" is probably clem in a safe place with kenny or something away from walkers

You know you could just make one post about your predictions on all of the Trophy/Chapters. :p

    Into The Fire
    - Could just be a colloquialism meant to suggest that the group is entering a dangerous scenario with no literal fire involved (i.e. "out of the pan, into the fire"). Needless to say, Ch. 1 of Ep. 5 will probably be suspenseful, perhaps involving the zombie horde from the train tracks.

    Twice Shy
    - There is another common colloquialism: "Once Bitten, Twice Shy;" meaning that once one has been in a bad experience, they will be more cautious the second time around. No idea how this will tie into the plot, but it could involve Lee's bite and perhaps a second attempt on his life.

    There Ain't No Way
    - I agree with everyone above who noted that this sounds like something Kenny would say. Distinctly, I remember him saying something like this when Lee was trying to get him to stop the train: "There ain't no way my boy's going to live," or something like that. Personally, I think that both the title of this achievement and the plot in general are pointing towards Kenny's safety being threatened here. It's just a guess, but it'd be a great segue into the next chapter, which is called...

    Mercy
    - You have the choice to kill someone either right before they reanimate or directly after. Perhaps Kenny. 'Nuff said.

    The Marsh House
    - I believe the group, short on leads at this point and not knowing where to look for Clem, will take Lee's suggestion to investigate The Marsh House, where her parent's used to stay on trips to Savannah. No idea what will happen though. Personally, I think Ep. 1 made it pretty clear that Clem's parents are dead, but this series has surprised me before.

    What's In The Bag?
    - I think that this HAS to be a reference to the infamous scene in the brilliant psycho-thriller movie Se7en, in which Brad Pitt's character discovers his wife's severed head in a box after continuously crying out "What's in the box? What's in the box?" Perhaps the man who kidnapped Clem will psychologically screw with the group somehow, and he'll be even more sick than we could've imagined? Also worth noting, if this is indeed a reference to that scene from Se7en, Brad Pitt's wife's character in that movie was pregnant. Will Omid go on a psycho rampage upon discovering Christa's severed head in a box? ... I hope not. :)

    Stay Close To Me
    - Simple, Lee finds Clem after much tribulation, they have some sweet moments, Clem doesn't want to let go, they say their goodbyes, everybody cries.

    What Remains
    - I think that this part of Ep. 5 will be mostly involved with explaining what happens to the group and where everyone goes post-Lee's death. There also could be some kind of tie-in for a potential season 2.
  • edited October 2012
Let me take another shot at these:

Into the Fire-The group has to worry about the horde while traversing the streets of Savannah.

Twice Shy-Refers to the popular idiom. Lee has had something done to his group in the past, and he will avoid it this time.

There Ain't No Way-Something with Kenny. Him finding out that the boat is missing, or his untimely death.

    Mercy-Killing or sparing radio man.

The Marsh House-The group enters the Marsh House, and finds out the fate of Clem's parents.

    What's in the Bag?-Not sure.

Stay Close To Me-Lee and Clem bonding moment while dealing with the zombie horde.

    What Remains-Speaks for itself.
  • edited October 2012
I don't think Into the Fire means literally going into fire. You have to go through the horde of walkers to get to Clem

Mercy, kill or not kill radio guy, Find out his reason for taking Clem.

Marsh house. After Lee tells Clem he's bitten he takes her to the marsh house to look for her parents.

I think the bag belonged to Clems parents.

That would be an awesome twist. I think they should do something like that, make the kidnapper fuck with the group also. They can make this really dark if they go where your prediction is at.

Now THAT would be interesting, deciding Kenny's fate would be really interesting. I really hope the story go's the way you think it is! Would be great!

Into the fire - Lee with up to 4 group members who joined him (the four shadows in the background) are in greater danger now that the walker infested city has just had a walker herd come into town as well.
  • edited October 2012
I don't think "Into the Fire" has anything to do with actual fire. Since it's the first chapter, I'd say it's referring to the group going out to look for Clem. The "fire" being the herd that has infested Savannah.

Actually, the decision of whether Clem's kidnapper lives or not will probably be CLEMs CHOICE. throughout the game there have been miments where you murder or spare people infront of Clem. there are also moments where you have to justify killing and punishment to Clem, such as punishing Lilly or when its okay to kill people. Depending on which side you swung towards throught chapters 1-4, Clem will make the decision.

    Into the fire
It's something about the herd, maybe they (however you brought) try to run away from it and one of them gets grabbed and killed. If that happens, then it'll be Omid with his leg and all.
    Twice Shy
I was the one that talked about it being Christa's death. So maybe she will have less of a will to survive with Omid dead and won't fight off a walker.
    There ain't no way
I'm being very pessimistic so far, but I still think that this might be Kenny's or Ben's death. If it's Kenny's, it might be like "there ain't no way he's gonna make it to the boat". If it's Ben's, it could be Kenny being like" There ain't no way you're getting on my boat!" and uses him as walker bait.
    Mercy
    No idea.
    The Marsh House
Maybe Lee and whoever is still alive go after Clem and her kidnapper in the Marsh House, where she's being held captive and Campguy kills another character.
    What's in the bag?
The kidnapper has a bag? lol
    Stay close to me
Lee takes Clem to the boat and maybe (HOPEFULLY) Molly joins us.
    What remains
    Molly and Clem escape?

So every character you bring with you is designed to die in a specific chapter if they arent left behind.

I guess so lol. I think if you leave them to get the boat ready they'll probably get eaten by the herd no matter what.

Campman? Why is he called campman now? Is this comfirmed with telltale?

Not really. It's just that I heard a guy mentioning that the audio files for episode 3 list the voice as Campman. He was probably lieing but chances are Radioguy is Campman.

    No idea.

i'd have to say for mercy would be either giving mercy to the C man or kill him

uh "whats in the bag" i think the Boyd is the guy he did have a paper bag in episode 4. Clem goes with molly i don't think so. Camp man i don't think is a bad guy from what i heard Radio guy and CM are different. I think CM finds Clem at the end and we play as him next season. We import our saves and determines Clem's persona in season 2

Anything with Ben mentioned cant be right because nothing significant can really happen to Ben because you can choose to drop him j stead of pulling him up, so I doubt any of the achievements/trophies will be about Ben, but Kenny could say that, however that is a big moment to not let him on the boat.

Just referencing Mercy. I've been merciful and forgiving to everyone else but fuck Radioman. Unless there are remarkable circumstances, I'm killing him and won't think twice about it.

Clementine's mom's head is in the bag :D

And 'Into the Fire' is probably to go along with Episode 1 Chapter 1 achievement 'Out of the Frying Pan'

    Idiom: Once bitten, twice shy
If somebody is said to be once bitten twice shy, it means that someone who has been hurt or who has had something go wrong will be far more careful the next time.

    Source: http://www.usingenglish.com/reference/idioms/once+bitten,+twice+shy.html

I think this will be Lee doing one of two things, being more careful, or getting bit again. Like we've seen in past achievements "Goodbye, she says quietly" is completely the opposite. So Lee may be more reckless in this episode because he is a dead man walking. He'll go out fighting to save clem.
  • edited October 2012
everyone that came with you dies only lee and clem are alive "Stay close to me" there trying to get out of Savannah. Which is reminiscent to the 1st episode when the leave clems house and lee says "stay close to me okay?"

I wonder if by the "Marsh House", they are referring to Savannah's first/oldest hotel? The more you know!

I think the last chapter 'What remains' is supposed to mean 'what remains of Lee, so probably you can see how he affected Clem/the group's conscience and morals, like maybe your decision of who you killed, (Ben, St Johns, Larry, etc) how you treated eveyone, keeping your humanity (like Dale said) since you're their 'leader', that kinda thing I guess :P
Or literally Lee's corpse, since the icon is a gravestone

    Into the fire
Probably the group realizing they can't be trapped in the room and have to go back above ground into the metaphorical "fire." As we don't know how fast these hordes move, maybe we will see a familiar undead face like Lilly or something (remember - walkers don't need to sleep or stop).

    Twice Shy
Although also a saying like into the fire, I think twice shy is referring to the "once bitten" part judging by the icon. I think it could be Christa getting bit but then again, if she's not with you, what does this chapter mean? So I suppose it could have to do with Molly since no players get to choose whether she comes or you stumble upon her.

    There ain't no way
Looks like someone got surrounded and there's no way they're going to escape. Assuming that something shocking and unbelievable is going to happen. Maybe we see Vernon and his group or something?

    Mercy
Maybe a similar situation to shooting the girl when you get supplies - someone in the group is in a hopeless situation and you can't save them but you can shoot them so they don't turn. I'm starting to think that even if the group didn't come with you they will show up.

    The Marsh House
The kidnapper lures Lee here where we search high and low for Clem but she's not there.

    What's in the bag?
It looks like either a medical bag or a pretty big bag. I like the idea that it could be someone's head - maybe Clem's mom or something (though how does the kidnapper know what she looks like?). Maybe he tries to trick Lee into thinking there's a vaccine or something.

    Stay close to me
Reunited with Clem and tell her how important it is to stay close because they have to decide the fate of the kidnapper (I like the idea that Clem has to decide based on what you've shown her is right/wrong in the ZA)

    What remains
The remaining group stranded in Savannah (I don't think the boat plan will go far, esp if the whole group comes and no one is guarding it). Probably just Clem tbh.

I think that What remains trophy means, that everyone who's still left goes on the boat but Lee chooses to stay, cuz he's gonna die anyway and only takes a gun to shoot himself.

"whats in a bag" is probobly a reference to the movie seven's "what's in the box" maybe clems moms head or some body part of clem
  • edited November 2012
    Rvprj.png

So on the achievment "There ain't no way" we can clearly see 3 zombies eating off someone, so that means someone from the group will get caught by the walkers somewhere in the beggining/early middle of the episode, being impossible to save him.

The "Mercy" achievment shows a hand (wich looks kind of small, is it Clementine's?) wich is hold by another one, at the left showing some arms (obviously the zombies').

"Stay close to me" is another obvious one too, it seems Lee finally manages to find Clementine, and since it's chapter 7 achievment the main focus on this Episode will be to find Clem.
I also think this chapter will be a very emotional one.

"What remains" is obviously the last achievment, it shows only 1 person.

Edit: Ok so I took a better look at the "There ain't no way" achievment, the zombies are eating from a body wich is faced down on the floor, and it has something on the back of his shirt.

Kenny has one too right? So who knows, Kenny will die if he goes with you or you will find him dead by the river if he didn't came with Lee ?
