"She's your daughter?"

edited December 2012 in The Walking Dead
Okay. I want to know what people chose at this response from Vernon. Referring to Clementine, Vernon asks Lee if she's his daughter. I simply said "yes" because I thought lying was the only way to make him come with me to get out of the sewers. What were your reasons for your response?

No, because they looked like good people ( excluding Brie ) and people in this game always seem to find out if you're lying.

I said no, it's better to be honest with everyone from the start so they won't find out any secrets later on. I was going to lie, but I didn't want anything to happen later on in the game if he suddenly found out Clem isn't your daughter, because all too many times arguments have unfolded in the worst possible times on TWD.

I would be interested to find out what others have said :)

I am Clem's Father. If you adopt a child your there "parent" not biological but paternal just like me and Clem.

And he did call me out for it i thought in my head if i didn't say clem's my daughter i would sound like a pedo

    I said no.

I said yes, but I didn't consider it lying. After what has happened, I would consider her Lee's adopted child.

Told the truth and said "no" when asked if Clem is my daughter. My Lee is not a liar or a thief. He is a killer however.

That was yet another decision where I didn't really know what to pick. So I went with my gut and picked "No". Thought it might be better if I were honest.
And it's weird because he follows up saying something like "I had a daughter too...", even though you just said she isn't your daughter :D

I said yes and also didn't consider a lie ( and was kind of mad at Vernon for being pissed about it ). Like someone above said, at that point, I genuinely looked at Clem as a daughter.

I said yes in my first save (my "first instinct" file) because I thought it would make him more likely to show me the way out. In the end it doesn't really make a difference so I'm not too bothered that I lied.

I felt like it'd be the only way he'd help me so I told him yes.

I told the truth. I felt it was best at that time.

Yeah, you just walked in on a bunch of people you have never seen before, the least they deserved was some honesty!

Like others have mentiones, I told Vernon Clem was my daughter and didn´t consider it a lie because after what they´d been through, I honestly believed Clem was Lee´s adopted daughter. Too bad Vernon is such an asshole if you told him that.

I said no. There's no reason to lie and no reason to spit on the memory of Clem's parents and try to horn in on their place in her heart.

    i said no.

The interesting thing about this is the difference the choices make.

If you're honest, when it comes to Vernon wanting Clem at the end, he'll be a decent guy and reasonable.

If you lie he'll call you an asshole and say that he knows you're lying.

The question is, how the fuck did he know I was lying? We already know that Radiobastard knows Vernon, so was Vernon working with Radiobastard all along, along with information? I think Radiobastard knows I was lying because he took the radio off Clems mum.

No Glen has the parents Walkie there were only two. If a walkie happens to be on the same frequency you can talk to other people.

So what you're suggesting is that Radiobastard just happens to hit the same frequency as Clem, as well as be in almost the exact location where her parents are staying? It's far more likely that Clems parents had a walkie with them, Clem says as much when you first meet her.

Yup total coincidence, there were only two she used to talk with her parents with the other. She even says glen has the other radio. I don't think she would be sad if there were only two. Plus this guy has been talking to Clem since episode 3 when you come in you see Clem with her face against it maybe she was just messing around with the Walkie then just happened to hear his voice.

Said no. Saw no reason to lie.

I seem to remember Clementine saying something about finding her parents in Vernon's hearing. Im pretty sure thats how he knew.

said no, although lee says that her parents didnt make it and he is looking after her to vernon.

    No, Clementine is my girlfriend.

I was unsure but I said no. Lee could've been a playa 8 years ago. Makin loads of babies he didn't know about.

At the start of the game, when Shawn and Chet ask you if she's your daughter, if there'd been an option to say yes, I'd have picked it.
  • edited December 2012
Said no. Lying hardly ever worked out in the game as they usually found out you lied.
  • edited December 2012
No, because there's no use in lying to them. Even if I did lie to him, Vernon probably has the same instincts as Christa. o .o
  • edited December 2012
I said nothing, and Vernon thought that Clementine is my doughter. But in second time i played, I said "yes"
  • edited December 2012
My Lee also said yes and did not think it was a lie. Vernon was a bastard to say she would be not Lee's daugther.
  • edited December 2012
I couldn't say yes to that question even if I wanted to.
  • edited December 2012
I didn't need to. I already have a daughter, her names Judith... An' that son of a bitch Rick took her away from me...
  • edited December 2012
Lying always harms you and to be honest he will pity you even more if you are going home to save a Little girl who has lost her family than to just some dad
  • edited December 2012
At that point I might have misinterpreted it, but I said "yes" because at that point, she really is Lee's daughter. I didn't think of it as a lie at the moment.
  • edited December 2012
I said no. Regardless of your own views, Lee is not really her father and it is indeed a lie. Putting it in context and realizing that your answer may or not be given as a reason for Vernon to risk his life to help you, it would make it even worse to lie to him.

I'm sick of this roleplay thing you and this rick grimes-guy are on. Can you stop it?
