Episode 3- stuck, please help!

I know that most of you have already surpassed episode 4. I have yet to get to that point.
However, I am stuck on the train station~ when Clementine and Lee go searching for a blowtorch and you need to bash the 2 zombies brains in.

when you back up, it comes up with the option to look at the wrench or take it.

Is there a direction i have to press? I dont know what to do!

Please help!

    This exact same thing was driving me nuts. On the PC, when you get the hand icon scroll your mouse wheel, you'll see the hand icon light up. That means it's activated and he'll finally pick it up. Otherwise it's set to look by default which is why he keeps looking at it.

    or...you know, press the number buttons.

    normally on pc the options for interaction or displayed vertically on mine it was set like the crosshair / dpad of a console.

    yet i was using keyboard/mouse

    thank you for that... i just kept dying bc i thought u had to press the direction of the action you wanted.
    it comes up on the right.. so i pushed right.. lol :)

    also wait till lee is more or less at the door do it to early and nothing happens

    I keep having the same problem I wait for the hand to show up and then I get bitten as I am moving back any suggestions?

    Just keep moving back, don't stop and keep your cursor pointed over the weapon by the door. The hand icon should show up below the eye.
