Hardest/Easiest decision

edited November 2012 in The Walking Dead
Out of all of the episodes, which decision have you found the easiest, and which have you found the hardest.

My easiest decision was leaving Lilly behind - once she'd shot Doug I didn't feel she deserved to be in the group any longer and knew I couldn't forgive her.

My hardest decision was probably the Ben one. I dropped him. Often I've felt torn when having to choose between people, but this is the first time I let someone die when there wasn't anyone else who needed saving. Mega regret!

Hardest: killing Larry (sided with Kenny)
    easiest: conversations

easiest was saving duck and ben, the hardest are probably any time Lee talks to Clementine about her parents, and the larry decision was a tough choice, but one that had to be done just hard to do

Hardest: Killing Larry (sided with Kenny in the end)
Easiest: Dealing with Duck. I shot him.

Hardest: Killing Larry (I sided with Kenny) or Leaving Clem (I eventually had her stay at the manor)

Easiest: Saving Ben (I didn't mistreat him, threaten him, or oppose him any time at all. Why should I drop him?)

Easiest, but probably least fun: Shooting Duck.

Hardest: Telling Clementine that I think her parents are dead. I decided to kill Larry as soon as Kenny started freaking out because I agreed with him, but actually doing the quick time event felt really crappy.

Easiest: Giving the random girl in ep1 the gun/ shooting the girl in ep3
Hardest: Dropping Ben. It kills me inside but I think I did the right thing.

I think the hardest one for me was leaving Clem behind. Goddamn, she can make you feel like shit if you think you're doing the right thing but hurting her feelings.

The easiest was pulling Ben up. I got emotional at that scene, and as soon as the option appeared I picked it :p

Yeah, shooting Duck was surprisingly easy, I just couldn't let Kenny or Catcha do it.

    who's Catcha?
is it that idiot that can't catch a ball during baseball?

Easiest was saving Duck. At first, I figured I should just make sure I always save kids first. Hardest, was probably dropping Ben. The fact that he wanted to stay behind made me like him, and I wasn't one of those people who hated him for what he'd done, either.

    Katja?
    Katcha?
    Catja?

    Ya know, Kenny's dead wife

If you didn't hate him how come you dropped him?

her name is spelled Katjaa, not Catcha, Catcha is that idiot that can't catch a ball during baseball

Just because I didn't hate him doesn't mean I didn't think he was a liability to the group. He was in a tough position and I wanted to end it. I probably would've saved him if I knew it meant he would help me save Clem, though.

Yeah, I thought if you opted to save him, you'd try to and he'd slip anyway. That said, he'd probably be more of a danger to Clem than a saviour if his past behaviour is anything to go by.

I was thinking if I would've saved him he'd mess up everything in Episode 5, but end up saving Clem or something like that.

Yeah that's possible. We've probably killed Clem by dropping Ben. Whoops!

Hardest was saving Ben. I really wanted to kill him. I followed my morals instead. Hate myself sometimes.

Easiest choice, when compared to the gravity of the issue, was killing Duck. Couldn't think of a single good reason not to do it myself. And plenty of reasons why it would be the better course to take.

Easiest: leaving Lilly behind, giving Irene the gun and shooting Duck
Hardest: saving Larry, saving Ben and bringing Clem to Crawford
Larry might have been an a-hole but Lilly begging made me help him, I like Ben but he still is a liability, Clem would be in danger no matter what I did but I am glad I brought cause she saved Molly :)

    Hardest Choice was Saving Ben.

There was a lot of easy choices though.
    Saving Larry
    Leaving the Girl
    Leaving Lilly
    etc

The hardest choices were saving Ben, helping Larry, and bringing Clem to Crawford.

I don't know the easiest. Letting that girl get eaten by walkers in ep 3 was easy for me. Guilt is not something I've felt.

hardest: killing duck/lying to my queen clem/ trying not to shoot molly (saved by deadshot clem)

easiest by far high fiving duck cos i'm that awesome :)

Easiest for me was defo saving Shawn or Duck in Ep. 1. :P
But the hardest, would probably be helping Kenny kill Larry...I did it.But Lee is still wondering if he did the right thing. :)

Really? I was pretty torn between Shawn and Duck, maybe because it was the first choice like that I was faced with in the game.

Hardest: What to do with Larry (saved him)

Easiest: Choosing Carley (I already knew I would save the girl when I saw it in one of the trailers. Sorry Doug!)
  • edited November 2012
Easiest: Saving Shaun (well, attempting to...), ditching Lily, shooting Duck (actually SHOOTING him hurt, because I just grew to like him, but DECIDING to shoot him was easy), showing the bite (hate that old "dude not showing his bite and fucking everyone else over" cliche)

Hardest: Trying to save Larry, shooting the girl (woulda left her if not for Kenny making it sound more monstrous than it was), and the hardest of all, saving Ben

On the Ben decision I think I need to elaborate some. All throughout episode 4 I hated him more and more every time he did...well...ANYTHING, but I tried to be fair to him still. The straw that broke the camels back was the axe. I was ready to get him killed FIRST chance I got! *rawr roor* But, When Clem intervened I had to rethink the entire thing, and I wasn't done thinking when the bell tower happened. When I realized I had to choose his fate right then and there, cue BSOD in my brain.

I ultimately saved him and don't regret it a bit. *applauds Telltale for being able to do that to me*

I dropped him and feel eternally guilty. From reading stuff on this forum about people's decision RE Ben, I think taking Clem played a big part in whether you saved him or not. Quite a few people have said they would've dropped him had it not been for Clem defending him. I didn't take Clem and sort of forgot she even liked Ben until I got back to the house. I think if she'd been there it would have swayed me in to saving him.

Yeah, while my ultimate reasoning for saving him has nothing to do with Clem, I probably wouldn't have had that train of thought in the first place if she wasn't there. So if I had left her, I would probably be in the same boat as you. It's interesting.

I did. I really did. Not surprisingly though if queen clem had been allowed to come to crawford I would had most likely saved him.

But with the new addition of molly and only 5 on the boat. There was only 1 step forward. Christa and kenny back me up.

People always say how him asking to be dropped changed their mind. Thats dumb. Lets take a suicidal and detrimental character with us. YAY

    Easiest - Pulling Ben up

Hardest - Showing the bite to the group and saving/killing Larry in the freezer. (these two are toss ups for me, I can't decide)

    Hardest: killing Larry
Easiest: Shooting the girl in the beginning of episode 3

Easiest: leaving lilly. i always hated her so when i got the choice to leave her i went for it. aslso it was easy killing larry. i agreed with kenny and kennys my bro anyway
Hardest: Saving ben. i hated ben since i found out he is responcable to killing Duck, Katjaa, Carley, and acually chuck for not helping out then. But at the moment i didnt think he deserved to die like that. I saved ben but im still not crazy about him. if i had to choose between him and someone else i wouldnt choose ben. But if i dropped him i would be no better than lilly, in which i left.

    Hardest:
Whether or not to kill Danny - I spared him.

    Easiest:
Whether to leave Clem's house during the day or at night - I left during the day.
