question on walkers

ok so i know tht all people have the virus to become a walker. but wht about animals... i mean u never see a dead animal turn into a walker. i mean they were alive so they should have the virus.......... right?

    i think it's like most real viruses, they don't cross species unless they mutate, and i think in TWD the virus is stable and it won't mutate so it is just humans

    im pretty sure the dog in episode 4 confirms this. at least thats how i knew for sure

    Animals can't become walkers in the comics(Robert Kirkman himself says this) and since this game is set in the same universe i think it's safe to say we'll never see them.
