COMICS SPOILERS- Favourite Story Arc?

I thought we should get some WD comics threads started. I wasn't sure if we were allowed to post comics spoilers in this forum so I thought we could start it with a light-on-spoilers topic. What's your favourite 6 issue story arc from the comics? Try not to include spoilers for those who have started reading but aren't caught up, but if you do include them, make sure you hide them as spoilers. Anyways, my favourite 6 issue arc is probably the one with the cannibals where they meet Jesus. I love that panel with the guy's finger. If you've read it, you know what I mean.

    Probably the Prison for me.

The Fear The Hunters was my least favourite one, because everyone was being such an unlikeable prick all the bloody time. Now I'm reading the second volume in the New Alexandria Safezone, it's kind of boring but at least the characters are relatable.

My favourite arc is the one with Thomas. It was interesting seeing how they were pushed over the edge and losing their humanity.

    Thomas like the prisoner?
Also, the arc you are reading I'd say gives about 5 in depth characters, and then a whole bunch of other ones that stay alive for a while and have names but have little purpose and overall detract from the story. Can you give the name of the volume you are reading or at least the issues included so I know which you are talking about?

Also, I wouldn't really count "The prison" as an arc, more a place where a bunch of arcs take place.

I left when the DC gang attempts to take over Alexandria and are wiped out. I think it was issue #78. And yes, that was Thomas the prisoner :).

I also feel obligated to mention this, but my favourite cover is the one in issue #76 (I think), where Michonne is at a party hiding her katana from the other guests. It's so silly I can't help but laugh at it, but I love it.

all the arcs during the prison era...once they left the prison its been a sort of downhill slope imo

The arc with issue 50 in it. I think that arc was the highlight of the series.

My favorite arc was the fear the hunters arc. We got to see more insight towards Abraham, my favorite character. The prison arc was alright. Everything past arriving in Alexandria became really crappy, though.

Slough, I'd reluctantly agree that arc showed the best character insight in the series, but I'm interested to know how you think that is the highlight of the series. It's rather slow. Also I really would like more specifics than "the prison arc". It lasted 36 issues. That's not one arc, thats a place. I suppose you could consider the woodbury interactions an arc but that's approx. 24 issues, still a huge length. These are technically arcs, but not the kind I'm asking you about.

To be honest it's been a while since I've read and I read issues 1-100 within... like... 3 days. I've wanted to reread, though, so I'll come back to this thread in a few days with a better answer for you. :)

I actually loved the Alexandria Zone arcs, showed just how different Rick's group was.

Favourite arcs were the arc where they first found the prison and the prisoners, Fear the Hunters and Something to Fear.

Liked all the arcs, but if I had to choose it would be the first 2 volumes.

When they discovered Hilltop, And that awesome Man Paul Monroe (Jesus)
my least favorite has to be everything that has The Saviors in it. Fucking douches.

The Prison arcs for now, but I still don't know much about the arcs after it.

Huh. Interesting you don't like the Saviors. I think Kirkman did a good job of slowly building that up in the background up to Negan's reveal. I personnally love the arc BECAUSE they are fucking douches. They're fun to hate.

Prison arc. Tyreese is the most badass character ever.

The battle against Woodbury. I know, everyone picks the prison stories but that's because they really are the best. To be fair, I only got a few arcs further after the prison before I stopped reading. That stuff's depressing.
