What if Ben begged for you to pull him up?

How drastically would the outcomes change?

I think i'd still pull him up actually.

    Honestly, I would've dropped him.

    It wouldn't have changed anything.

I might have pulled him up. One of the main reasons I dropped him was because he told me to.

I would've done the same thing and pulled him up. I'm just not into the murder of someone who didn't directly kill/hurt someone on purpose. He still has potential with direct supervision and not letting him take charge of important shit until he has shown he can do it.

I would have still pulled him up, because if there's a choice between trying to save someone, and letting them die, I'll choose the save one. Unless it's someone that's like infiltrated our group, and actively killing us, then I'll likely let them die.

I really think if he had begged to be pulled up, I would've saved him. Him asking me to drop him and save the group swayed me in to leaving him for the walkers! Stupid Ben

I would still pull him up no matter what he said. I like saving as many people as possible, especially the ones I like.

I think there wouldnt be a choice to let him go if he wants to be pulled up; remember Lee wanted to pull him up before you could choose

I'd still drop him, since my decision was solely based on his contribution or lack thereof up to that point.

I would've still pulled him up. Even though I've always wanted to drop him. I hate my own morals sometimes.

I dropped him mostly because he asked me to. His own decision is what swayed me to do it, not what Kenny said or what happened just before. So, if he begged me to lift him, I would have done just that.

there's nothing more pathetic than someone begging..

i'd of dropped him..with a finall 'see ya' or not ;)

Well, if given the choice at the time, I would have shoved him off the train.
But then Im a horrible SOB and woulld have brained Larry before we ever got to the motel.

I would have pulled him up quicker. I was hesitant on it because he was wanting to die, but in the end even though it is his body and his right to die i figured i would do the politically right thing and protect life.

    hehehe...

On the other hand, without blinking an eye my g/f dropped him. I don't think it would have mattered to her.

Still wouldve pulled him up. Cant blame the guy.

I would've thought about dropping him a lot more but i still would most likely have saved him
  • edited November 2012
I would have. But if it was an option. I would tell him the is not worth it and he needs to man up big time. Also he costs me a Doug. Seriously I only had one of those.

I can't just kill someone...i would've still pulled him up...He just reminds me SO much of my brother..

if he actually begged you, then there would be no option to drop him because, if you drop him he will most likely hold on you and make you either fall with him or hold until zombies will kill you ^^

Would have still pulled him up. There's no consequences for saving him which makes the choice pretty obvious for me, especially since I won't kill a guy for his mistakes

If saving Ben had some consequences, like risking Christa or Vernons life, then the choice would actually be difficult for me.

I hope there's a reason to tell Ben exactly WHY you saved him in Episode 5. Reasons ranging from 1. Ben not deserving it (pro-Ben choice), 2. Because Carley/Doug died for him, and you didn't want to make their sacrifice worthless (Neutral option) or 3. You don't get off that easy (anti-Ben, want him to suffer by living in the ZA) or something. or 4, as always "..."

Dropped. Only pulled him up because I hate those "Let go of me so you can live!" type scenes. So cliche and half the time the person would've lived as Lee has shown.

I still would have saved him. Sure he's a bit of a screw up(a lot, really), but i don't think he intended for any of his mistakes to happen. As long as your heart is in the right place, you're okay with me. Even if i disliked him, i won't be the cause of his death for those reasons alone. He'd probably do himself in sooner or later, accidental or not.

However... if he puts Clementine in danger again, i may have to feed him to walkers, one limb at a time.

    Probably not though.

Would've dropped him. I pulled him up just because he was asking me to let him go.

From my point of view he never meant to do anything wrong and thus my outcome would never change because in my opinion letting him fall was the most horrendous thing I could have ever allowed to happen, and thus I pulled him up, I dont even intend to go back after the game finishs and drop him to see what happens, i'm that against it.

If Ben would begged to me I would pull him up. My Lee it's not a cold blood killer.

But he wanted to die to save us so... Now for me it's a hero and if someone asks for Ben to Lee I would answer that kid it's a hero, sincerely.

I forgive him all mistakes he made and I will defend him against any complaining from Kenny.

Yeah. I haven't seen the scene of him dying, nor a picture.

It's pretty brutal. I felt terrible even BEFORE I realized the fall hadn't killed him, and he was only crippled.

I no one should die that way
no matter how many mistakes you make
he reminds me of shaggy from scooby doo
    I liked shaggy :D

Pull him up. Prepare to call me a stupid SOB who hates stupid characters.

Pulled Ben without blinking an eye. I'm half pro-Ben. But, I killed Larry without hesitation because he deserved it. Don't gimme that but-he-was-innocent! Bullcrap. He deserved it, and maybe if he lived through Episode 2, he might of tried to kill you any chance he got.

I would have told Ben that I couldn't pull him up because I injured my arm when Kenny dropped me from a semitrailer, left me pinned under a door and dropped me again from the second floor at the river front. But if he'd like me to go get Kenny to pull him up I'd be happy to do that for Ben.

In real life I'd always pull him up... hope you guys are solely talking a video game...

I actually called him that in-game a few times. I've been waiting to hear "Zoinks!" ever since I brought him to the motor inn.
