Would you play again from the beginning just to do things different?

Just to make different choices and achieve new results?

Do it at least once. Just try to do pretty much the opposite of everything you did the first time through and you'll get everything worth seeing. Then maybe at the end of episode four try to make a few different decisions.

Did. I have two saves. The first is my initial reactions and the second save are those choices I could have made differently. Certain choices are consistent in both saves because, to me, they were obvious decisions.

I have done a few. In one of them I don't talk or say meanest things I can.

And thaaat's where the replay value comes in! You can make new choices, build relationships with certain characters, and see for yourself how different you can make this different from your "canon" save. I have one save file on my mac. Before, I used to have three before the game wiped out all my saves.

Same here.. I did all 3 saves on my Xbox and PC.. but, I had save issues with both. So, I've been taking my time, but been replaying all 3 saves (6 with both platforms) keeping Save 1 as my origional then the others as the different choices or silence.

Nah, I won't. Reason being is that I don't feel the choices make ENOUGH of a difference to bother doing it again. if the differences were greater then I would.

I am, right now I have 3 saves 2 I saved Doug 1 I saved Carly. I might play it again to changed somethings around like ask Lily to stay or be friends with Larry to see if it changes anything.

I had 3 saves, but they were wiped too. Now I have 2 that I'm interested in seeing through, and I'll definitely start back at 1 after I'm done with 5.
  • edited November 2012
Worth it and I've only used two save slots. Planning to play all the way through during the X-mas Holidays (most likely X-mas Eve, no work).
  • edited November 2012
I think I won't for what was said before, the choices don't make enough difference for me to play through again.

But I might if there is a lack of games I want to play after episode 5. I have purposefully not started a 2nd playthrough yet because of the save game issues.

    why.............................................................................not?

    On my third. :)

I did, then the Ep4 bug wiped everything. I'm not doing it again.

When Season 2 comes around I won't be doing multiple playthroughs until I've finished it, I think it kind of kills the experience.

    Well, I will re-try to.
I'm a little bit forced to, you know. I'm a part of the ones that have encountered the famous bug with saves deleted ... so, I will have to restart everything from scratch if I want to play the EP5. Nice...

I enjoy TWD more as an interactive story than as a game. If I replay through the events of chapters 1-4, I will be breaking the immersion and the bonds I made with the characters.

I'm gonna stick with my original playthrough until the end of chapter 5 and I'm gonna enjoy the "aftertaste" of my choices for awhile. After that I'm definitely replaying the whole game at least one more time (close to the Season 2 release date).

Interesting question. No one seemed to get the answer that people really want to know, "Does it really make any difference by the end of E4?"

Carlee's death was a super-duper blow to the group. If I manage to save her, will it stop me from having the same cast of characters at the end of E4?

Is the final result of my choices going to be a never-ending entourage of characters that I will end up holding hands with to satisfy the true flow of the story?

I pretty much have had to restart bc my saves were wiped out by episode 4. When episode 5 releases ill play it and I will be done with the game. Not saying that in a hateful way, its just I dont eant to have to play through ep 1-3 again for the 4th time.

Definitely worth replaying a few times. Just to see how events unfold and how our choices change a conversation. With any game that is decision based like Mass Effect for example I play it a few times just to get my money worth out of it. No point playing it one time and missing out on so much content.

Perhaps. Depends on how bored I get in the future :P But I've already played through each episode about 3 times, but you know, if I get bored enough in the future I might play through all 5 one more time!

I'm planning on doing it after completing episode 5. Possibly doing the exact opposite of what I did on my first playthrough. Will be challenging though because I really like how my current playthrough is going so far.
  • edited November 2012
No, I'll be doing it b/c I lost all my saves. Marathon session!
  • edited November 2012
Simply because I enjoy it more of MY choices, MY storyline, If I played through with differnt choices on playthrough 2, it'd just ruin it for me.

Looking forward to episode 5! hopefully this week hey? :3

No. I am dong the decisions that are my own and I want to live with them.
  • edited November 2012
It is a lot of fun replaying it and making different decisions!
  • edited November 2012
I currently am, actually. I want a playthrough with no one joining in episode 5.

Choice is meaningless if you go back and redo stuff all the time.

I mean sure do another try when you complete the entire games.

Buts its like in games like Deus ex, pick something and stick with that decision. Thats part of what makes choice cool, that you have to live with the consequences of that choice.

Not to mention when you start to redo episodes and such for choices, the illusion really starts to crack, because you can see just how little your choices actually matter. It just worsens the experience.

I will have a fucking convulsion to play ep 5, the days are going fucking slow already omfg!
  • edited November 2012
I'm gonna have to! I'm not going to have a new PC in time so I've downloaded all the episodes on XBL and plan on ploughing through them before Wednesday's release.
  • edited November 2012
I already have, but due to game problems and corrupted saves.

I have already achieved that haha. Douchebag Lee is now a complete loner.

You make a good point actually and might do that for season 2. But the wait between episodes is so long that I just wanted to go back and see what happened if I done things differently. I was intrigued. I currently have my good Lee and douchebag Lee up to episode 5 now. I did start a silent Lee playthrough on the 3rd save slot, but I'm still on episode 1.
