i wish i could just get the game to start up when i play

edited November 2012 in The Walking Dead
every time i try and play the walking dead on my pc i have to go into the system folder and run as admin and troubleshoot compatibility and then run. however i have to do this 10-20 times before it works. also my game never saved. so i followed the instructions of some users on how to move the my documents to steam apps folder i know i did it right without explaining the whole operation and believe me its a complicated task with a lot of reading. it shows my save file there but when i continue i just go back to the start. this is without a doubt the biggest waste of money i have ever spent on a game. i just want to sit down and play with no problems but its just too much of a pain in the backside to do it. people just want to sit and play not reprogram tale tale's mistakes. i can guarantee i will never pay another red cent to tale tale that's for sure. if anyone has any suggestions i have not read on here and tried let me know.

just try deleting it and then redownloading. might not help but its something to try that fixed my saves glitch problem before ep 4 came out

Yeah, any time I have trouble with a steam game a reinstall usually works. I'd check the game through steam and reinstall it too.

What OS are you running? It might just be some issues with certain drivers if you've got win8 (woo boy am I having fun getting some games to work on that OS...)

Be thankful you only spent $25 on a game you regretted purchasing, I've done the same on games with costs that reach into four digits.

As for the last part, that's actually a part of PC gaming that I generally enjoy, sometimes I even end up enjoying the process of getting the game to work more than the game itself. If I didn't want to deal with troubleshooting and getting things to work on a certain system I'd have just bought a console.
