Ben's Original Voice!

Here.

This is amazing, Ben didn't originally have the voice he has now. He's softer, more southern... reminds me of a younger Kenny.
I can't match the voice to Ben though. I prefer the current!

I kinda like his current voice better.

Yes, his current voice is a lot better, I think. I'm glad he dropped that accent, I don't know if it's just me but it sounds a bit weird XD

    Nice find, by the way.

I was actually looking through the voice files, and there were a few files with that voice. I was confused when I heard them.

There was also a different cop at the beginning. And also in the files there is a file where someone else is reading lines for Lee.

I think it'd be better without the accent and still different from the current one because the current Ben baas like a sheep.

    honey boo boo

Holy shit, now I feel even WORSE about dropping him after hearing "I'm the last one..." Plus his lines describing the bandits gave me a few chills. They're slightly more threatening to me after hearing those.

    He sounds better whiny.
  • edited November 2012
Yeah, the new voice is much better. This one just doesn't sound as lively as the current voice.

It's odd, he kind of sounds like Donald Glover at times.

I'm betting this is placeholder audio recorded by the devs before they got the actors in the studio.

    What.. He sounds gay there.

I agree, I'm pretty sure that this is what this is. These original lines don't sound professionally acted out or anything, and they remind me of placeholder dialogue I've heard from other pc games.

That is all from Episode 2 ?? Sounds like also Episode 5 :D
Awesome to hear unused lines. Wanna hear now the stuff from Lilly & Carley :)

Look up Telltale speech extractor. There is quite a bit of unused audio, especially from EP 1. It cool to see the different things they were going to do.

Yeah, the "Benji Ross Audition", right?

This voice is much better, Ben current voice is so cliché, it's done in near enough any kids cartoon give the coward a silly whiny voice.

Sounded much more realistic and less cartoony before.

I prefer the current voice. This one sounds...un-Ben-like. lol

I actually kind of like it. Gives him a little something extra. Think they should have used this voice, it would have made Ben less annoying.

It's essentially the same; I was thinking I would hear something completely different.

    Seth Green, is that you?

Nice it gives a LOT more info on what happened to Ben before the bear trap, more then he shares in the game.
