This is so insane I just couldn't resist sharing. I really hope they find out what's wrong with him and why this happens. I wonder if it's really wood too, lol

This totally tops the Two-headed Girl (which I stumbled onto a few days ago)

Really creepy to see a man turn into a tree, I can see an angle for Sam & Max there. They have seen some pretty wierd things during their long career, after all!

And how did he put that tight shirt and those pants on if both feet and hands are quite Huge?.

I don't think a respectable news group such as ITN or the Telegraph would be reporting on it if it was fake.

Those are cutaneous horns. It's a marked proliferation of the keratin layer (top most layer) of the skin and it's forming those horn like projections. Obviously it's incredibly severe in this man.

The thing that is worrisome is his high susceptibility to skin cancer (squamous cell carcinoma) with that much proliferation going on.

Wow, just reading that made a pocket protector appear in my shirt. :p Seriously though, that explains a lot.

:D <--- for the pocket protector comment

One of the causes that came to mind was a very, very bad case of human papilloma virus (which basically causes warts).

Apparently this does have a name: Lewandowsky-Lutz dysplasia

It's odd how some of the most disturbing deformities have the simplest explanations. (Except progeria, which is not only complicated, but I saw one case of it that'll stick with me for life. Truly haunting.)
