I might be a little bit uncorrect on this one but this is how my stomach reminds the installation: If he remembers this day correctly, it doesn't matter if you have some numbers or not. Actually you could have had dozens of activation codes, they don't help you if there isn't a working internet connection and once there exists one it doesn't matter anymore and everything works out nicely.
Maybe this is the most effective way of making keygens useless and stealing some time of your life.
Spam is certainly getting smarter, and this wouldn't be the first time someone created spam that knew how to somewhat intelligently reply to its own thread.
