Telltale please tell us if larry was dead

edited November 2012 in The Walking Dead
hey so i was replaying episode 2 for the sake of it and then i realised... now that episode 5 is out can telltale like announce if larry was dead or not because now the game is completed and kenny is dead so atleast we should get to see if larry was dead or not?

WHO AGREES!!!

AND IM TALKING ABOUT WHEN HE COLLAPSED BTW.... not when the salt lick hit him....

Larry? You mean that ass behaving father of that girl? Linda or what was her name.
He's dead. Kenny took care of that...while Lee tried giving that old fart CPR.

I think TT has hinted strongly that Larry would have been revived if he hadn't been saltlicked.

...I wouldn't be so sure about Kenny though.

    2 words, Schrödinger's cat...

We will never know xD and I don't see Telltale would ever tell us with that stunt they pulled off at the epilogue

I don't agree. I think that would give you a clear morally right and wrong response. The point of the dilemma is that there's a moral case to be made either way, and you just have to make a call.

In that particular respect, that's sort of why (in hindsight at least) that scenario can only really end in Kenny taking matters into his own hands. If Larry wakes up and is alive, that tells you that trying to save him was right, and if he reanimates, that tells you that siding with Kenny was right.

I kind of feel that the point of the dilemma is that you'll never know, you have to go with what you feel is the right thing to do at the time.

Telltale will not reveal this, as it would remove the emotion and consequence from the choice - which is counter-intuituve to TT's goal in this series.

    *Edit*

    JByrne's on the mark.

I recall someone on the Telltale staff more or less confirming that he was being resuscitated (if you preform CPR) before the salt lick falls...or maybe that was just a confirmation that his lips were moving.

I've always assumed he was alive since then.

They confirmed that they definitely showed him taking a breath before the block falls, but they were a little coy about whether it meant he was being revived or whether he had re-animated. I honestly don't think there is an answer - he's dead either way - they just put that in to make your choice even more ambiguous. I always took it as he was being revived but maybe that's just because I think it's more dramatic.
