What got me most about the ending...[spoilers]

edited November 2012 in The Walking Dead
...was the parallel drawn between the first meeting of Clem and Lee and their goodbye.

Clem was crawling away from the security guard walker and I had to shove a weapon towards her. She grabbed for it, turned to the walker, and bashed its head in. And then did it again. And again and again, as Lee watched on. Then the bird's-eye view camera angle, with Clem poised over the corpse with Lee in the background, and it hit me: it was the first meeting at her house, all over again. Only with the roles switched.

I don't know why, but that simple thing made the goodbye even harder for me. I guess it really just drove home how much we've been through together, and how much stronger Clem's gotten since then. It gave me a lot of closure I'm not sure I would've gotten otherwise.

Hell of a ride, TTG. Looking forward to the next one.

I found it to be rather funyn that he started in handcuffs and ended in them.

It's also a nice bookend that Lee starts the game in handcuffs and ends it the same way.

(unless you cuff the zombie security guard)

    I shat bricks on that.

I was gonna mention the handcuffs, since I saw them somewhere else on the board and never thought about it before that, but it slipped my mind :p

That's some fine writing, though. I feel like they didn't always keep it consistent this episode, but when they nailed, they NAILED it.

Telltale makes tons of parallels and foreshadowings like that in this game.

Mark constantly going on about how hungry he is, goes on about how he'd do anything for something to eat. Winds up as a Zombie and eats Brenda.

The situation with Duck winds up becoming a parallel to the child in the attic and to an extent, Lee.

You wind up having the choice to get your arm cut off. Next thing you do? CUT OFF A TON OF ARMS.

This series is just full of stuff like that.
