Are they like Omid and Christa or Kenny and Lilly or Carely and Dog
  • edited May 2013
It's Omid and Christa. Lilly won't make her appearance until later in the season. I'd say episode 3. The rest of the people on your list are dead, walkers or will only be seen in a rerun.
  • edited May 2013
Carley and Doug are dead, and I don't think Lilly was anywhere near Savannah by that time, so it's not her either. Omid and Christa are the most likely choices, followed by Kenny or Molly. But, that's only if it's not two new characters altogether.
  • edited May 2013
I sure it's new characters. I hope that they are not psychopaths (well, or just a little), and Clementine will not use her Colt M1911, against them. (although it would be funny see)
  • edited May 2013
Why would Christa and Omid be wandering around in the middle of nowhere? One would think they would've stayed in the city if they were to look for Lee and Clementine. It's probably new characters.

Because they said they wanted to go to the Countryside when you realized that the boat was gone.
Christa talked about wanting to go to the countryside.....look at the height difference too it is for sure them.

It's possible they're walkers of them. Explaining why Clem looks undoubtably terrified.
Though I will be very annoyed if that is the case.

HOW DARE YOU EXPECTING A HAPPY ENDING IN A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!!!!!!111111????

It HAS to be a depressing ending where people die and suffer, since life itself is full of pleasure and happiness nowadays. Just watch the news. Happiness everywhere! People don't go bombing or shooting each other for ridiculous reasons, child abusers and sexual offenders all turned allright all of a sudden, corrupt politicians are honest people now and hey look, poverty and crime are now gone forever! Everybody got a great job and is living the american dream, so let's pour some distress and depression in our leasure time activities, since the world itself is a way too nice and cheerful place!

Oh boy, can't wait for Rick Grimes to pass away in a painful, cruel and unnecessarily depressing way! Good times.

I liked 28 Days Later and I Am Legend (Though I am aware they are not technically zombies).
I Am Legend had a good but also sad ending where the remaining survivors moved on and tried to live their lives as best as possible.
That would've been good enough for me at least.

I want them to be Christa and Omid but I think it will be two strangers.Because if they were Omid and Christa they didn't need to show them as shadows..

I felt like the shadows were a sort of 'Middle Finger to the Fans' unless it is clairified in Season II.
It might be just my hope of a somewhat happy ending, but I really do believe that it was Christa and Omid. The shadows fit their character models and Christa says they are going to the country side after all this to get away from cities; Clem ends up at the country side at the end. The way to get there would be to go past the train and into the outskirts, so Clem would arrive at the same location more or less. It's not very far fetched considering there aren't many people there and both Clem and Christa and Omid were going to the same area. I guess having Clem smile in the final scene would make it too obvious and happy for the Walking Dead.

Honestly, a suspenseful ending is only fair if there is a proper sequel, otherwise it's wrong.
Especially for a good game, the fact that the game is good shouldn't be the exclusion.
I feel the ending of a game makes about 30% of the game's worth.
So even if the game is amazing, if the ending is really that bad, it's not really worth it.
Imagine the greatest thing in the world that you could actually do.
Now you are told that you must LITERALLY eat a gallon of feces when you're done.
    What do you do?
The logical person will just enjoy the activity and then refuse the feces when offered.
But how can you play a game, and just stop at the end?
All I'm saying is, unless it really is 'To Be Continued...', a BAD Ending is never fair.
But understand, I do not think of a Bad Ending and a Sad Ending as the same.
In a Sad Ending, there is a terrible sacrifice but the goal is met for the price.
In a Bad Ending, there is a terrible sacrifice but the goal in the end is NOT met, i.e. Clem did not survive.
And when the ending is meant to actually be the ending, we deserve to at least know if this is a Sad Ending or a Bad Ending.

Hey Palavon - you can quote multiple posts at once using the handy lil' multiquote button found at the lower right corner of each post:

Just click that button on each post you want to quote, and on the last post, hit the regular Quote button. That will let you avoid double/triple/quadruple/quintuple posting, which is generally considered poor forum etiquette. Thanks! :)

    2 undead pedophiles (sorry)
Seriously though, one girl in the middle of the night during a full on ZA- its a very nice, bleak setup. I really hope they start Season 2 with the sound of a cracking branch behind Clem and C/O showing up. Yes, latch her onto some adults and fast- what I really hope not to see is "Season 2: Clem vs Zombiez!!' cause that I think would be- y'know: dumb. Or some variant of that where somehow Clem is the main character and adults are now deferring to her. Bad enough she's an unkillable plot device, but dont make her more than a smart kid with good head on her shoulders

I feel like you have to think about this like a really wide shot in a film that was shot by the second unit team. You COULD zoom really close in to a 70mm film still and say "hey, that's not Tom Cruise, it was an extra!!" but what would the point of that be?

It looks like anything we can guess will only be speculation until Season 2 arrives.

I am pretty sure they did this so if we hacked into the files we would not know the million dollar question as to who they are, they are no walkers as that would be such a wasted of potential.

Exactly. We know you guys are clever and sneaky! ;)

The team didn't want to leave any clues as to who they might be. Jake (one of the writers on The Walking Dead) explains it in the post quoted above, and I'll quote it again here:

I mean dont expect us to play a 10yr old girl all alone in the middle of a ZA.
Cause that's silly- grown men on their own would have a hard time of it, so expecting a little girl to do it all by herself is a deal breaker (for me)

I was told that they intentionally chose default models, so that noone could tell exactly who it was.
However, I was not told by a Maker. I'm just passing this along, so that you know and don't completely give up any hope that you might have

She could meet up with Lilly or Omid & Christa, or even as a New Character altogether, and you could play them.
There are plenty of things they could do to include Clementine.
To not come up with a way would be kind of uncaring or lazy.
I'm just saying there are a LOT of ways they can include her.

What makes you think that we will play as Clem? This is the most stupid variant of development of events. What makes you think that one of these people will be the new main character? Maybe they are just going to take her in their camp, and in this camp we will see a new main character? I'm trust Telltale, I belive that they making something interesting and not a banal.

I am happy you said mystery ;) , meaning we will find out assuming you care, of course.
That's good enough for me to look forward to the game.
But please... make the Retail Disc also come out for the PS3... :( .
I, and many I know have a small Hard Drive, and cannot upgrade without sacrificing Backwards Compatability.
So, please... have the game also come out on disc for the PS3.

    I like this theory.
It adds up to the option of saying either, "Go find Omid and Christa" or "Go find another group". So as long as this is a New Group we can have our new main character.
See how easy that was? And you're not even one of the writers.

We're just discussing ways to obviously incorporate Clementine into the next Season.
He's theorizing that the two after the credits could be new survivors, hence the option to say at the end of the game, 'Go Find A New Group', then it says 'Clementine will remember that'.
Or 'Don't trust anyone', which could make her uneasy with said new group.
Or 'Go find Omid and Christa', which would give a more clear innitial goal for Episode I.

Gotcha. Were there options at the end of the game? Been so long I totally forgot

That question is tearing me up inside, after finishing the game in December. I HAVE to know, for Clementine's sake.

In the Walking Dead world, hope is always stretched thin.

If you got the ending where she is looking at the two figures in terror, believe it or not, this is the very best ending.
However, it is very likely that Season II, coming this Fall, will be a sequel to the game, therefore clarifying what happened in the end.
    Hold strong.

I believe they are not zombie models, but maybe those of Ben and Doug? The tall one definitely looks like Ben.

And then of course there's that.

The fact that the two models used were those of dead characters makes it all the more obvious that it means nothing. I think maybe we weren't the sneaky ones here. :P

Even still, I think it might be someone unexpected. Molly and Kenny, perhaps? (I will not believe that Kenny is dead until I am shown his corpse, haha.) Of course, it could be Omid and Christa or even two totally new characters - and I think the lattermost option is the most likely. We'll probably be given a set of completely new characters in the second season, though I do hope Clementine is in it.

I recall reading an interview of some sort with Telltale long ago where they stated none of their ideas for Season 2 so far involved a completely new set of characters(i.e. no season 1 characters). So there's still a decent amount of hope that someone from season 1 will return. :)

Like Clementine and Christa, because neither of them are capable of dying.

    Rick Grimes and Carl...

I am joking, of course. It had to be two completely new characters, Omid and Chrsita would be too simple and predictable to the point that if it really were them, Telltale would just show it.
Hell, it could even be Lilly and Molly after meeting through online dating, who knows? Telltale probably just put two shadows that could be anyone while they decide what to do with Clementine.
