Cant get my xbox controller to work

I followed the simple steps like making sure its on before you start the game . Don't not see an option where I can turn it on . Something is missing ?

    Yup just got my copy from steam . BlackOps:2 works fine with my controller - played zombies LV 29 .

    Bug forum, maybe.

    Wish I could help, but I played on the 360.

    I've no knowledge on how to get a 360 controller onto a PC.

    If you plug in a 360 controller before launching the launch, it should be automatically detected on launch.
