if you finish all the way to the end credits, there's a hidden scene

she was thinking of it after all huh?

I don't think that's what she was doing, more like scavenging.

looking at a shotgun shell and picking it up hardly insinuates she's contemplating suicide.

No I think she was lookin at them to mabye use them.

Clem's too strong to sink to that level after everything her and Lee went through and what she was taught. She's a smart kid and it's my belief that she was surveying the environment; when she saw that there were bullet casings, she knew that even the countryside has had it's share of tragedy and violence. This may be why she was a little spooked by the two strangers when they stopped and she couldn't see who it was.

For a few seconds I thought she might, but when she picked up the shotgun shells I knew she was going to keep going on. Don't know why shotgun shells made me feel that, but I'm glad they were there.

I.... don't see how anyone could assume she'd be thinking that.

I mean, if she wanted to do it - she had a gun, she wouldn't need to pick up shells for a weapon she didn't have.

I watched this scene and did not even remotely think that she was thinking of killing herself. Because she wasnt. She picked up shotgun shells. A pistol doesnt hold shotgun shellls. You can say she is just a kid maybe she thought they would fit but no, she had one bullet left as I recall anyway so she would have done before.

did she still have one bullet left at the end credits?

It's quite likely i think since depending on what you do you either let her leave or shoot her. She just uses one bullet and it's probable the pistol had a full clip

Based on her facial expressions, Clementine was NOT contemplating suicide. She scooped up a series of 9mm rounds, or expended cases. More than likely to look at them or think she could use them in her gun. I'm pretty sure a 9 year old wouldn't know about the fine mechanics of ballistic propulsion at that age.

She was sad as she walked. But she wasn't broken down to nothing. She has something to prove, and she has someone to live up to (Lee Everett) Suicide was NOT on her agenda.

Ugh why do people think she picked up 9mm shells...ive corrected people 3 times today, they was used shotgun shells. She looked like she was thinking about what to do next. Cant really comment on contemplating suicide, because who knows?

Weren't they spent casings? As in there was a shoot-out there and it's probably not safe?

I saw symbolism in it. She just came from a very dark experience, and the shotgun shells can represent that there is plenty more danger to come. She's obviously still scared, but Lee's teachings (her carrying the gun) will help her continue on.

    The opposite.
She is mostly like she is going on no matter what as she picks up shells for a weapon she didn't have.

Why did everybody used the cuffs on Lee? I used em on the biter in the chair. Lee wasn't going anywhere.
