The 2 people at the ending-scene are NOT christa&omid (Proof inside)

edited November 2012 in The Walking Dead
Okay so everyone seems to think the 2 people walking in the distance are Christa and Omid. Clearly they are not.

Here is what the game shows you:

JeVtv.jpg

We see 2 silhouettes, one tall slim person and behind that person 1 smaller fat person. Now you might think the "fat" person might be Christa with her pregnant belly but if you paid any attention whatsoever you would notice that christa is far taller than Omid:

That's why the 2 people in the end can not be Christa and Omid.

    Wut?

All you've shown is that it probably is.
  • edited November 2012
Or..the taller one could be Christa.

I don't think it would be walkers though...if they were, they would probably just keep going in the same direction, not stop and take a look around if there was no particular reason to.

could it be heat waves that were messing with clem's vision?
i don't want her to be found by strangers because they could be dangerous :( however that would make good dramaticness i suppose

I don't think anyone thought the short one was Christa.

everyone in this thread is now more stupid for reading that. I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.

jkjk but seriously you just contradicted yo'self there

Indeed, the taller person was always assumed to be christa - the first person does not seem to be fat either if you look its the silhouette of his/her arm on there chest.

Yeah, I think we sunk this dude's battleship.
  • edited November 2012
still wouldn't explain why the small one is so fat. And it's not his arm, unless his arm has the width of his waist. Omid is skinny
  • edited November 2012
First: Even walkers stop sometimes and look around. They are no robots.

Second: Where is this guy fat? He has just the same bult like Omid.
  • edited November 2012
Look at his arm the shadow extends straight from his wrist to his shoulder, also if he was indeed fat his belly would be visible under the shadow of the wrist. It doesnt.

Its a side view its almost all the way straight until it reaches his wrist, how is that figure fat?

His left arm does the exact same thing. I am looking at the zoomed in picture.

OMG I just realized this! If you look closely the person on the right is in a banana suit and he/she has a pet penguin following her! What do you guys think clem will do with the penguin? pet? dinner?

You see fat, I see arms set for stride.

So we're supposed take this solid due to graphical shapes of the characters? I'm sorry, but there has to be a lot more evidence to show that those two aren't Christa and Omid.

I did not hide a "Belly" with the arm sketch, it was literally thin air there. He was walking with his arms flowing out. If you look at the picture properly you can even see the cuffs on omids jacket. Now if it is omid who knows, but whoever they are they certainly are not fat.

maybe. it's way too pixely to see anything besides the height anyway. Oh doesn't matter. Was a shitty ending anyway.

I disagree. Cliff hangers can be frustrating but they let you know there is more to come at least. I would like to see season 2 with Clem a little more grown up, teenager perhaps, on the run doing the things Lee taught her to do. Being in a situation like she has been will kill her quickly or mature her, and in Season 2 I feel like that needs to be something Tell Tale deals with.
I am with Kirby though now, I think it is a penguin but not a bananna. Maybe a pickle...

Okay from a guy who actually does rigging and 3d modelling. From a huge distance, models start to distort to the naked eye, and the most discernable characteristics become the most obvious.

Omid is wearing a BAGGY JACKET and is short. Christa is wearing a TIGHT WINDBREAKER and is tall.

Omid's movements are more long and the size and bulk of his jacket does not change. While they may change it later in Season Two if they choose to, That IS Omid and Christa's character Models. Omid is the only character of that stature in the game, Christa is one of the few tall characters, outside of the woman her model was based on. (She shares the same model as someone else in the game)

Yeh it was. If it is Omid/Christa, would of liked to see clem safe with them, i hate cliffhangers.

But Cliffhangers are part of what make an experience more intense. A ton of people played this game in installments and were bawling by the end cuz they had nearly a year to get attached to the characters. I got the game for a friend of mine yesterday and he barely felt anything because he played it in one sitting.

Things like Cliffhangers are what help us get attached to characters. it's what gives us, the players, a sense of attachment, and in the end a deeper level of fulfillment.
  • edited November 2012
I would still get the same attachment if i played all 5 games in one sitting, dont know about anyone else but if anything its lowered my attachment waiting so long for all 5. Especially all in one you would remember the finer details of the story. I can of course see the plus side of the wait, being able to replay the game and what not.

I dont however get the idea that cliffhangers help to get attached, they are awful plot mechanics ESPECIALLY before a whole new series...i would not have expected that from telltale. Honestly wish i waited until the 5th episode to purchase it, but thats life.

The cliffhanger would not have left such a bad taste however if the end itself was better, something like i mentioned of clem meeting up with a friendly face and "We gotta get out of here".

I don't think they're bad. A lot of people will probably get season two, thinking they /must/ know Clem is safe etc. If you know Clem has met up with someone who will take care of her and everything, I don't think it would be much of a cliffhanger.

Like when people watch tv, or anything really.
  • edited November 2012
Christa is the more adventurous and take-charge type, so it's possible that the front walking male figure is actually her, people may remember how nobody knew whether she was male or female initially.

Omid is also a tad shorter and stockier.

It was still a pretty disappointing teaser scene. I'd rather it just ended with her shooting Lee or leaving him. That way I could pretend they just met up at the train station without this lame attempt at suspense.

I'm already going to buy season 2, TTG, you can drop the teasers.
  • edited November 2012
Wasn't Christa the only person in the series walking with the head forward like that? I always thought that was kind of a trademark for her, so one more point for the shadows being them.

What if it is Clem's parents? You know, they look a lot like in the picture in episode 1.

Its almost 100% accepted that her parents was the two walkers clementine freaked at on the walk out covered in guts.

Would piss myself if its the ST John brothers. Both could have survived in my playthrough. But then it would not make sense for those that killed them.

    Ben and Kenny ? :D

LOL, the silhouette's doesn't have to resemble Chrissa and Omid's figures, they're just figures. The reason why I don't think it is them is because, according to 2 decisions which 'can' be made by you(Lee): 1: "Look for me at the bottom"(When they are separated after making their way across the sign in which it snaps. 2: When Lee is about to die, saying his goodbyes etc, you have the option to tell Clem: "Look for Chrissa and Omid" (These are the choices I've made and when I've watched the scene after credits, I was quite confused since Lee(you) specifically said to Clementine to stay near that area and lookout for Chrissa and Omid.)

In addition, you've got to take positioning into consideration, you perceive that the person on the left is 'fat' is because when the person is walking they move their arms allowing the figure to be more wider. The opposite for the person on the right where arms are by his/her side. Now onto height, the person on the left appears to be shorter may be because he/she is standing further back making him/her shorter as they are treading on a hill.

Nah. It's obviously Mike and Sully looking for Boo. Sadly there aren't any closet doors anywhere near by.

Theres no chance Ben is still alive. He was pinned to the group when the alley filled with walkers. Its almost 100% certain that Kenny used his only bullet to save Ben the pain of being eaten alive and then coming back as a walker.

The silhouettes are most likely them. Some food for thought:

Walkers do not follow each other in a perfect line like that, or at least not as long as the shadows did. Just as well, they would likely not stop in near perfect symmetry. Finally they certainly wouldn't walk fairly well like that(the Crawford guard in episode 4 does but the odds of two of these being in the same area and right next to each other is slim to none), they'd probably be dragging a leg or at the very least slouching.

As for what you tell Omid & Christa to do, sure they might search for Lee if you ask them to, but they're not going to spend the rest of their lives looking for Lee, eventually they'll decide that he's dead or isn't in Savannah or something and leave(Clementine as well).

We don't know how much time has passed between the ending and the epilogue, but it could have been long enough to convince them to move on.

The whole "Christa is pregnant" plot thread is unresolved so far. Christa also got some character development in the fifth episode (the scene where she sees the dead couple), which also goes nowhere. Christa appeared for the first time in the third episode. At this point, story writers already knew that the game is selling well and that there probably will be a continuation. Maybe they are saving those plot points for the next season.
Of course, it's only a far-fetched speculation and I could be dead wrong, but I think we will meet them again in the second season.

    Omid wasnt fat.....
  • edited November 2012
This was actually a more hopeful ending than I expected, if you believe it's Omid and Christa. Honestly, what are the chances it's two other random people? I was more worried that it WAS Christa and Omid, but they were zombies. But walkers don't usually walk almost side by side as if going somewhere, in sync. They both look over at Clem right away, like they were like, "Omg, Clem??"
  • edited November 2012
Can't anyone look into the game files and check if those models are Christa and Omid's or at least check if these shadows have their own models?
  • edited November 2012
    there arent walkers
    they are moving too fast
walkers would only go that fast if they saw someone...

Yes, Clementine said she saw her parents amongst the walkers.

About the St John brothers, it really makes no sense for me and others who have killed then both. Besides, they are no interesting caracters and I'm just pity the game didn't gave us the chance of inquiring them more about them turning the fence on when we where outside or about the women which the younger brother kills in the woods. I think some deaths could have been prevented in episode 2, if it was to be decided by real people. Such a group could have take that place after it was proved they were not to be trusted (fence + women in the woods + the door they don't want open at any cost + not letting you see where\how Mark is). Honestly...who would trust that people after all of that ? Why not to take a more agressive stance before ?
