Yeah, he'll never like Lee. Keep in mind that that guy is a tad bit crazy and wants Clem to himself, so he'll obviously call back on anything that makes you look like a bad guardian for her, even if you had a valid reason for doing so.

He criticized me for taking her to the dairy farm. And mind you, when she came there, there was absolutely no indication that it wasn't safe and that the St. Johns were nothing more than just farmers trying to help people. Taking her there for food when she's starving and as a potential safer place is something literally any one would do, and that includes probably her real father and yet, the stranger was still infuriated that I did that.
If you take Lilly with you in the RV, he'll criticize you for taking an unstable crazy woman with you in the RV. If you leave her, he'll criticize you for leaving a grieving woman by the side of the road.
My brother played through, and he criticized him for saving a pretty girl with a gun over an innocent man (saving Carley over Doug).
Nothing you do is the right thing in this guys eye, and he will criticize any choice you made.
No matter what choices you made (including not allowing Lee or Clem to take anything from his station wagon), he was always going to find a reason to hate you. Kind of makes all the choices seem less significant somehow, since they all lead to this same confrontation regardless.

yeah sounds about right.
though I guess it would be weird to get a slap on the back from the guy that has the head of his zombie wife in a bowling bag.
Save the animal crackers from episode 3! Don't give'm to Duck! Lee will give them to the stranger and they'll chuckle about how his kid used to like them.
To be honest, he didn't seem to hate my Lee and was glad things were going diplomatically.
How the hell did you manage that? He hated me because I:
A. Saved Carley over Doug.
B. Brought Clem with me to the St. John's Dairy.
C. Brought Lilly with me on the RV.
He's so unreasonable, why is it a bad thing I saved Carley over Doug? She has the only gun in the group (so far) and Doug would have probably wanted me to save her instead of himself (that's just the kind of guy Doug is). Also Lee, or at least my Lee, developed a much stronger relationship with Carley (there's few conversation choices you get with Doug in episode 1). I had no control over Clem coming to the St. Johns, we all go there regardless of what I say. Why is it a bad thing I brought Lilly with me on the RV? Isn't that a good thing? Apparently he gets mad at you either way apparently, it's like what the hell do you want me to do Stranger?!

Considering the fact that there is no "right" or "wrong" choice, he'll criticize about EVERY hard choice that you make and call you a monster no matter what.
I just wanted an option to punch him in the throat when he had that gun pointed at me towards the start. I wanted to be like, "I AIN'T GOT TIME FOR ALL THIS 'ARE WE THE REAL MONSTERS' HYPOTHETICAL SHIT! I'M HERE TO SAVE THE GIRL."
The moment this man started talking to his bag, I knew his wife's head is in it, and that he had snapped. While previously i was agreeing with him on everything he said, about Lee being bad influence, and that Clem deserved better parents, my fight with him came out of no where. I came up to him pretty much done/finished no more fight was left in me, the moment he started attacking me with words, I said "hi" and agreed to everything he was saying, it was just this moment, when he talked to his wife's head, i said to myself WTF!!!! Your NOT GIVING Clem to this guy, he's crazy !!!!! And it started.
If you didn't take the food from the car, there is a way to get him to calm down and not want to kill you.
To see this, when he asks if he can have Clementine, tell him you were bitten.
I did take the food from the car, but basicly manned up and apologized for all the decisions I made that turned out to not go too well. Even if you would make the same decision again with the given information, you can still apologize for how it went.
And then, when I showed him the bite in the end, he also became calm and acted like he didn't want to kill me anymore. But when Clementine came out and was very clearly very scared and willing to attack him. Seeing her reminded me of what to do, and when he then was creepilly talking to whatever in his bag I was like: F*ck this, I can't have a crazy man take Clem! Felt good to say sorry, but you is going down! So I looked at the cleaver, and clemmy chopped him in the shoulder with it.
And then I went Lee-pimp on him and choked a b*tch :P
But yeah, manning up to your mistakes does create a situation where he is a lot more calm.
He hates you no matter what you do, see his judgement of you would have made you think more on your decisions in the past I feel had they not just shown him with his wife's head in the bag. That just made him seem like an unreasonable crazy person.

tried before you posted this and it doesn't really change anything. he still says and does the same.
(aka being a creep and talking to his dead wifes head and clem beating him with various objects.)

Right. Because if you had behaved differently, something else would have happened.
The guy is always going to find fault with Lee because his character is that of a self-loathing man who puts all his faults and mistakes on Lee to make himself feel better. He was always planning on torturing and killing Lee and taking Clem with him because he was a very self-serving guy who wanted to make himself feel better through revenge and replacing his family with a head in a bag and an innocent, little girl. I don't know what this guy did in the past to survive, but I doubt it was anything moral or good.

That's what I did, and I can confirm it. But when Clem snuck up on him I was still "hell yeah!" and choked him to death. Then I shot him for good measure.
Actually, when he first said that his wife and daughter left him, I thought it was Jolene; really, how many mothers and daughters would you expect to be running around in one little patch of woods?
All he got angry at me for was taking Clem to the St. Johns farm (didn't know they were cannibals at the time...) and saving Doug over Carley (I chose Doug because even though it was obvious that only one would survive from a 'this is a game perspective', Doug seemed to be at the greatest risk and Carley only had a zombie grab her foot - happened to Lee dozens of times).
Have to say that was a pretty lousy reason to stalk us. I mean he didn't exactly seem rational but considering I didn't take the supplies from the car he said he wasn't going to go after me until he found those things out. Those two things don't seem to justify the change of mind.
I bought Lilley with us on the RV but I'm almost certain he didn't even bring Lilley up.
I guess the decisions that you make affect how crazy and irrational this guy seems rather than whether he likes you or not.

Stranger:Your a MONSTER!!!
Him and jolene would make a great couple
"Your a monster"
Also what happens if you let her eat it?

I told her she was eating human meat when I should have told her to spit it out
You get a slightly different dialogue choice
My bad decisions were either mistakes or saved Molly's Life
Oh does he get mad if i let larry eat it
yeah sounds about right.
though I guess it would be weird to get a slap on the back from the guy that has the head of his zombie wife in a bowling bag.
.....DO IT.

He's just crazy.
I had the same response. The thing he liked least was bringing Clementine to the dairy farm.
I also mentioned murdering the man I found who was sleeping with Lee's wife, but I don't remember the stranger's response being very dramatic. :P
Lol I was wondering what would happen if I told Larry that option. The scumbag Lee videos I've seen haven't picked that choice yet.
doesn't work, but kenny did call me an asshole.
YOU LET A BOY GET YANKED OUT OF A WINDOW TO SAVE A PRETTY GIRL
Get Doug:
Something similar to above
Don't let Clem eat 'that'
YOU TOOK HER INTO A FARM FULL OF SICK PEOPLE
Let Clem eat 'that'
YOU LET HER EAT HUMAN MEAT
Etc, etc, etc
He hates you, whatever you do.
To see this, when he asks if he can have Clementine, tell him you were bitten.
Shame Lee was too polite for his own good.

You can do it if you take the food. But otherwise, yup, that was it. Plus, I kept saying "sorry".

Right. None of which I actually did. But, but, my CHOICES MATTERED!!
At least, that's what the marketing department keeps telling me.
Right. Because if you had behaved differently, something else would have happened.
Sigh.
Lee - Well what am I supposed to fucking do bring her to mars?
Stranger - You brought her to a farm full of SICK PEOPLE!!!
Lee - What do I look like a physic who can tell if people are sick? Get yo' shit straight dawg...
That's what I did, and I can confirm it. But when Clem snuck up on him I was still "hell yeah!" and choked him to death. Then I shot him for good measure.
