agreed and this feels insulting to real life amputated people. No my lee kept both his arms to strangle campman and this post should be locked down.

    What? How?
The guy's just asking if you cut of your arm. How could you possible construe that as offensive to amputees?

The OP doesn't seem offensive, so we'll leave the thread open.

Yes, I cut off his hand. I didn't think it would save him, but I was in the mindset of Lee in that he had to do anything he could to try and slow the infection so he could reach Clem. It doesn't really affect gameplay substantially, but there are some differences between what happens to Lee if you cut off his arm and if you don't that I thought were pretty neat and there is some different dialogue.

Also, there are parts of Episode 5 that make you feel even more like a collosal badass if you cut off his arm.

no, i figured it would make it harder to save Clementine, i thought zombie bite+loss of arm= less time to save her (recovery time) no extra arm for tasks and blood loss and pain would make lee feel worse

but it seems that the loss of an arm made him feel better  it could have possibly reduced the amount of infection but i really think in a situation like that blood loss and pain would just make your immune system not work as well and it shouldn't have helped at all

Yep. Little did I know that it would have absolutely no effect. Although considering every other "choice" in the game has no effect on the story I should have seen it coming.

Lee passes out less often without the arm, and there's different dialogue., So it having "absolutely no effect" is an outright lie.

Yeah i did! I knew there was à really really small change Lee would survive but i thought i should at least try.

I think the person you quoted is that JackSchirmer guy in disguise.

On a serious note, I remain puzzled as to why people who clearly did not like a game repeatedly come back to a forum for that game to post why they did not like the game. I understand that people can have opinions, blah blah, but why people need to make their points over and over and overrrr again is beyond me. God, move on.

It was so tempting, but it was obviously too late for it to do any good.

I thought my best shot at saving Clem would be with a two handed Lee.
  • edited November 2012
Yeah, I thought he would survive.

you get the most epic moment if you keep your arm

I already knew lee wasn't going to survive so I kept it

Went out with both arms blazing brother.

Well, I didn't. I thought about it, and I wouldn't have the balls to let people cut my arm off, because I thought it was already too late. The bite was already affecting Lee, since they only thought about cutting his arm off after he had passed out from the bite for the first time. And then I thought about one-armed Lee trying to save Clem, and I just thought "Nope, not gonna happen.". If there was one thing Lee was gonna do before he died, it would be saving Clem. And I thought not having two arms would impair me on that quest.

I figured I may as well try it, as he was a dead man if he didn't do it and if he did there was an ever so slight chance he may actually live. My friend decided to not do it for his Lee and man does he ever keep passing out if you keep that arm! You'd think ampu-Lee would be the one worse for wear but he's got it easy.

    ampulee?

While I rolled my eyes, I can't stop laughing. :D

I've seen enough of the Walking Dead to know that Lee was a dead man. I decided that my Lee knew that as well so he would like to stay focused on Clem instead of clinging to some false hope of survival.
