Does the group figure out the bite anyway?

What happens if you hide your bite and go alone, but keep your arm? Do they find out when you return or do they not figure it out for awhile? I never went alone yet so I don't know how the group reacts when you return.

    If i remember i think kenny points it out when lee arrives back at the house.
