Which is more survivable , a ZA or a alien invasion

Which do you think is more survivable a ZA or an alien invasion. I feel a alien invasion at least you could fight them and drive them off the planet. Were as in a ZA if everyone one infected then there is no real survivability .

aliens would be at least as smart as us (probably smarter) and considering our intelligence is the only reason we are at the top of the food chain, i would say that zombies are easier to deal with than aliens

Zombies are like dumb animals. They can all be a pain in the ass to run and hide from, but they're not that hard to get around and easy to kill.

Aliens are much smarter, faster and stronger. They have more advanced tech, flying aircraft and weapons. They also come in different sizes; from as small as a chihuahua pup or as huge as Godzilla.

If I had to choose, I'd go with zombie apocalypse.

Yeah, basically it goes like this:

    Disintigratings Lasers > bites
Advanced Intelligence and Reasoning Skills > Brain dead walking corpse
Spaceships > shuffling along on rotting feet

I'd have to say Zombies are easier.

Depends on what kind of zombies and what kind of aliens.

Are we talking War of the Worlds? If so, I've got a cold with those alien's name on it.

    Zombie apocalypse, obviously..
Zombies are stupid, slow (If TWD-style), easy to avoid (Distraction or stealth) and can attack you only when you are close to them.

It really depends on the type of zombies (Romeros? Resident Evil?). An alien invasion would be a lot more deadly, although the results on both ends would be the same.

The aliens started the whole zombie outbreak

I can't answer because aliens can be absolutely anything :\ it's up to imagination :D they could be extremly smart and advanced like in movies, or dumb, or like a harmless animal ...
It's kinda set in stone that zombies would be slow and stupid and it makes sense as they're dead so their brains, bones and muscles wouldn't be working so well.
My answer is; it depends on the aliens! I never liked the aliens in movies, I prefer to think about aliens being not very advanced and dumber than us, just my imagination :P So i'll change my answer to zombie apocalypse :)

I think its safe to say the aliens wouldn't be dumb if they could invade us or even attempt to invade us.

Also any civilization that has the technological ability to somehow achieve FTL (faster than light) travel, or is able to able to create and travel through wormholes, would also be advanced enough to send a mountain asteroid into a collision course with Earth. T-Rex, here we come. The aliens wouldn't even have to invade.

    I'll take zombies.

A ZA Would be much more survivable.

Zombies easily. Stupid + in general die easily. Aliens would be far more intelligent than us and have far more advanced weapons, etc.

We shall defeat all the aliens with our THUNDER WELLS

Isn't that Kirkman's joke how it started? Speaking of which, isn't the zombie outbreak in the original Night of the Living Dead alluded to being the fault of a comet and space radiation?

Or did I misremember that. I'll have to rewatch it.

A Zombie Apocalypse is a bit of a cheat because its efficacy is baked into the name. It pretty much pre-supposes a pandemic that has already wiped out a huge majority of the populace before it even starts, otherwise Zombies are a completely trivial threat. The survivability is based on how bad that initial pandemic was, but if it is so bad that society won't recover then we've already lost. An alien invasion still gives us some kind of a chance because our defeat isn't pre-defined.

Aliens aren't smarter than us lol, we humans are supposed the most intelligent creatures but OUR fucking dumbass decisions is what lowers us to shitty situations.

yeah good point, its should either be a zombie apocalypse Vs an Alien occupation or a zombie outbreak Vs an alien invasion

zombie apocalypse Vs an Alien occupation = aliens may be easier to defeat by using guerilla tactics

zombie outbreak Vs an alien invasion = zombies easier to contain and defeat than an invasion force (aliens planning for the attack included)

Yeah. In the Living Dead Series and Shaun of the Dead, the epidemic is caused due to a comet hitting a satellite. But Kirkman's universe is just based off Romero's. They're not the same thing.
