We NEED to play as Lilly in Season 2

edited December 2012 in The Walking Dead
In the comics, she is a Woodbury survivor. So this brings out possibilities of a good storyline involving Lilly and The Governor. Thoughts?

Absolutely not. Also TTG's best bet is to continue making their own characters and staying away from the already established ones. Only have them as minor sidekicks like Hershel Glenn etc. Besides, who wants to play as a ludicrous, constantly bitching, annoying woman? No thanks.

I do! I think it would be neat to see what happens to her and the other Woodbury survivors after they enter the prison.

That would be terrible. Half the people who've played the game, maybe even more, hated Lilly. Those people wouldn't want to play as her. And although I liked Lilly, I wouldn't really want to play as Carley's killer.

Also what people usually always don't realize is that the main protagonist can't be an already defined character, it needs to be a new fresh character so we can make them into whatever we want them to be. I'd really like it if she was in the game but not the playable character (which she probably wont be, there's a good 80% chance that she wont be in the game), that would be awful.

Me too, I think it would be awesome.

I'd love to play a character where I didn't feel I "had" to be diplomatic.

I don't think Lily is the Lily from the comics anymore. That's why I would love for season 2 to pick up with Lily on the road. She doesn't have to go to Woodbury now.

    This too.

What made you feel like you had to be diplomatic as Lee? You always had the option to tell someone to shut up or to take one side or the other. I always took a side when I felt like that was the right thing to do. Like Kenny said, you can't stay on the fence forever, eventually you've got to come down on one side or another.

Because I played Lee the way I'd handle things.

But if we played Lilly, who's a bitch who's so wound up you couldn't cram a greased BB up her ass.... it stands to reason you'd have choices and options that reflected that. :D

    Edit: Example
    Lilly, help us.
    1) RAGE!
    2) KILL!
    3) FLIP OUT!
    4) .........

Is Lilly from the comics the same Lilly from The Walking Dead: The Road to Woodbury?

Because if so, that definitely isn't the same Lilly from the game. The Lilly in the book has a totally different backstory and personality.

Lilly was "supposed" to be the same - but.... Kirkman kinda messed with that.

Even I, (one of Lilly's biggest supporters) won't like that. That's gonna be horrible. Lilly has a set personality which I don't want to see ruined by player's choices.
She is so cool exactly because she has an interesting and engaging persona.
What I would like is to read a decent piece of fiction concerning game Lilly after the events of ep.3, that's gonna be enough for me.
As for season 2, I'm definitely against playing or interacting with any of the characters from season 1. Even Clem, Omid and Christa.

I'd love to see Lilly on season two, no matter what;)

They should keep whether she is the comic Lilly or not ambiguous. I still like to think she is.

I'd love to see Lilly in Season 2 as an Antagonist that gives you the option to kill her.

Comic and book Lilly is now a completely different character than game Lilly.

While I'd like to SEE Lilly in Season 2, playing as her would be as horrible an idea as playing as Clem, Omid, or Christa. Kenny too, if you're one of the ones who think he survived. What made Lee a good player character was the player being able to define his personality through his words and actions throughout the game. Lilly, Kenny, Omid, Christa, and Clem already all have set personalities, which would be rruined by making any of them a playable character. Telltale will make the smart choice, and create an entirely new character to play as in Season 2.

That is not proven yet. It might be that she is an non-canon version of book character.

I hope not. I like the crossover of some characters from the comics, but let's keep it that way. I like the original characters, make their actions unpredictable and makes the game amazing. (:

Technically speaking, Lee (you) changed Clem's personality by what choices/actions you chose :P

Which causes entirely different problems :p

How so? Game Glenn and Comic Glenn didn't see all that different, other then Comic Glenn had more experience with Walkers.

    He said Clem, not Glenn......

Lee was a protagonist. Lilly was a villain. Won't happen.

    Lilly was not a villain.

    Changed my opinion.
    It'd ruin the game, imo.
Lilly is... Lilly. You can't change her personality now.
