i bought the walking dead game thru my american express card and it doesnt work at all , i emailed and called an no one answers so i want my money back asap

    What version of the game are you trying to play (PC, Mac, XBLA, PSN, Xbox 360 Disc, PlayStation 3 Disc, iOS)? And if it's PC or Mac, did you buy the game from Telltale's website or from Steam (or from another online retailer)?

    What exactly happens when you try to run it? Do you get an error message? Please explain your situation in more detail so that someone can try to help you with the problems you are having.

    its a pc and the game just doesnt work i tried trouble shooting an all that but nothing , i got it the other day from taletell an i just wanted a refund so i can buy if from best buy but no body answers emails so i say this is fraud !

    I was having problem with the game as well. I had try all of the troubleshooting and nothing seem to work but then I got lucky and found out a FIX!!

    Install dinput8.dll inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Walking Dead

    Right click on the Steam shortcut then go to Properties
    Go to Compatibility Tab on top
    There a box at the bottom that say "Change setting for all user" click on that

    UNCHECK all the box, the only box that should be check is "run this program as admin"

    Then click OK

    If you post your dxdiag info, i can look if there's something that would cause the game not to work.

    Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
    Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.
    Windows 8: At the start screen, type in "dxdiag" and hit enter

    Now click on the button that says "save all information".
    It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.

    Open the file and press Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+C to copy the contents, and paste them in a reply by pressing CTRL-V.

    The Walking dead is unlikely to work with that old graphics chip.
    Also your drivers are very old.

    You can try if updating your graphics driver helps in any way.

    Thanks. Update the drivers, but still the same problem. I think that you may be right about the graphics card. I don't think that 256 mb is enough.
