Yeah, I watched the tv show and read the comics. I still said that Ben was lying, I didn't want the group thinking I was trusting some new guy that just joined.

Kinda. I knew about ti already, but I'd forgotten ebfore Episode 1 was released. So when Ben pointed that out, I was more like "Holy shi-...wait, yeah, I remember now."

I only knew because I had read the comics and remember that bit of info being revealed in S2 of the TV series.

It is the most obvious answer for how there are Walkers all over the world within such a short time

If it were just passed on it could have been wiped out easily
