503 clips, some of which weren't even swearing. Counted 13. So that's 490 swears, in 12 hours or so of gameplay, not counting alternative choices that result in swears. So let's just say twice as long if you count alternative choices, since a large bit is unavoidable, but there are typically four paths. 24 hours x 60 (minutes) is 1440, which means there's roughly one swear every 2.94 minutes. Not terrible...bad, but not terrible.

More did it because I was curious than anything. I still love the video.

Yeah, sorry, realized that AFTER I had put this up. :S

I always thought there was too much swearing in the writing. They way overdid it.

People "swear" at my work all day every week more than 1 every 3 minutes. If you added a ZA into the mix...yeah there will be a lot of swearing. Plus it's no where near as bad as the comic.

that math doesn't work out, 1440 is wayyyy to high. You assume you can simply tipple or quadruple them due to different paths but you forget the person who recorded this (me) already knew each path and every outcome of every option, thus went for all the ones that contain these reactions, sometimes even used footage of several different paths.
The 503 clips were pretty much the maximum. There might be 5-10 at absolute maximum that can be added but nowhere near your 1440.

I disagree it might seem like a lot in a compilation like that but overall in the context of the overall amount of lines within the game it is a very small percentage of dialog containing swears. Lee had like 6000 lines in the game and only 100 or so contained swearing (that's 1.6%).

Nah, I thought the same as I was playing through the game. In literature, overuse of swears detracts from the storytelling, at least for me. And yes, I consider this story to be literature.

Wow. That was hilarious. You kinda zone out there for a bit until you hear Clementine's voice chime in with her single obscenity.

Some of those in succession were pure swear-gold (Lilly at 0:18, Kenny and Lilly at 0:36, and a very silly 1:06 to name a few of my favs.).

it just fits their character and the situations. it's not like they mindlessly tried to put as many swears as they could everywhere. every character in the game greatly differs in this regard. It makes the story and their characters just so much more believable.
Kenny is practially swearing in all contexts. it's his character. Larry is the same and it fits his heated grumpy character. Lee usually swears when he is arguing, annoyed or something bad happened. Characters like Clem, Molly, Duck, Katjaa, Carley, Ben, Doug etc. barely ever swear, if at all. And when they do it's highly justified by the context (e.g. when Ben is screaming at Kenny). Personally it didn't bother me in the slightest as it was only used when it makes sense it seems.

I'm gonna take Carley and Molly out of your list. Molly may have been PG-13, but Carley had a pretty bad mouth on her.

It seemed like they swore around the same amount to me. I can only recall two times Carley swore(off the top of my head and haven't watched the video recently) which was once in ep 1 and once(potentially) in ep 3; while Molly swore a minimum of 4 times in ep 4. Though they've probably done it more often than this, from what i remember Molly has a few more swears than Carley.

I've always been a fan of these f*cking short versions. The first one I saw was of The Big Lebowski. Man, I laughed so hard.
