Anyone Else Feel at the End of Episode 5 the same?

edited January 2013 in The Walking Dead
Did anyonelse wish that u were back in ep 1 or 2 where the problems and the desicions and storyline wasnt nearly as emotional. I remember I ep 3 lee said he wished they were still back at the motel fighting about whether they should stay or not. And Kenny agreed. It really made me think about it and actually really made me feel like I was in the game and that I really did wish that we were still back there...it really made me feel what they were going through...telltale did an amazing job with really connecting you to this game and really making u feel so emotionally attached to the characters. 10/10 best game ever. Always will be. It's so amazing cause they easily could've fucked this game up so bad by just making Clem annoying or making ur desicions not question ur morales.

Nah, it would've gotten boring. The game exceled when you felt like your were moving across the country, trying to get to there safe haven. In the motel they would've eventually died anyways.

"It's just gotten too bad. We don't know what we're doing anymore. I'd give anything to go back to fighting over the motel."

    "Me too."

I felt that way, we had lost a lot of our group and everything had just gone to shit in a very short time. The motel gave me the Illusion of relative safety and hopes for a possible future. At this point in the story I was thinking we could get a fairly happy ending, then everything deteriorated so fast and I was positive none of us would survive. Such a huge leap between "happy ending" and "We're doomed", No other game/story has given me that experience. Credit to TT for making me feel like I was apart of this story.

I actually kind of missed the times like at the start of Episode 2 when the whole group was there, including Mark, Larry, etc...

    "God, where did yesterday go..."

I definitely felt nostalgic over the motel days mainly due to the fact we lost so many people from episode one after the bandit raid. Omid and Christa are cool, but I don't feel as attached to them since things are moving a lot faster.

    I shed some tears.

I think it says everything about the game when a time where a member of your group is eaten, there's massive political divisions and everyone is starving can be looked back on with nostalgia.

But yeah, looking back that group felt right and when you realize that everyone you and clem met on day 1 is dead was one of the lowest moments.

    "take us back"

Kenny, Katjaa, Duck, Carley, Doug, Lilly, Larry, Ben, Charles, Mark, Shawn... I may not have liked all of them but I'd do anything for them not to die. Even Larry.

It's depressing thinking about everyone we have lost...

Heh, Ben mentions something along these lines in episode 3.

"Remember when all we had to worry about were the walkers? Those are starting to seem like the good old days."

    Not 100% accurate but still.

Telltale did a good job making them feel like people rather than characters.

Just saving one of them would have done. :(
